Just like anyone else, some are and some are not. Just because someone is of a particular religion does not mean that they are more or less honest then someone else. However with that said, I would say that Joseph Smith the Mormon creator, was a prolific liar, as were many elders of the Mormon church.

But that does not mean that all the lay people are liars, but Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney has been caught in a number of lies.

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) are generally honest, decent, industrious reliable adults. However, there are bad apples in our barrel that sometimes spoil the perception of the rest, just like all the other barrels of people. If you are trying to fall in love with someone online without meeting them, then I warn you not to pursue that path. Electronic correspondence can be a way to make an initial contact and general acquaintance, but it is no way to fall in love. It is too easy to say anything you want on line. There may be no truth whatsoever in what this person says. They may call themselves "Mormon" just to get your trust and confidence and then fool you into doing something you will later regret. If you want to get to know this person better, then you need to meet them in a public place with a group of your friends to support you. Do not go alone to such a meeting.
You are lacking in knowledge and need somebody you know and can trust to help you in this. A true "Mormon" would not pursue a romantic relationship on line. They would want to get to know you in person. They would not ask you to do anything that would harm you and be self-serving for them.
Sincerely,
Rex

Mormons are pretty truthful...but I mean we all lie about something...it's human nature to lie. And yeah...lots of people fall in love online like on eHarmony and stuff...happens all the time...
