You can solve all of your logical paradoxes by giving up whatever axioms you are maintaining (such as "God exists" and "God created us").

I answered your Q abt God (last night my time) .
This morning I wonder about you as an atheist ( that what you say you are), with all your questions.
With the above question I say like this :
I think, no matter how stupid a christian is or a muslim is or a budhist is, at least they have a book which each of them call as their Holy Book or Noble Book.
That way at least, they have or feel of having purpose in this life, which very usefull for their daily life.
They have something BIG somewhere which they think, care of them .
I see that religious people been brainwashed, and they are, in the eyes of atheist, are stupid, but in the other hand I find that people having religion are mentally stronger than those w/o religion and also ACTUALLY people w religion are broader minded than the Atheists.
Atheists questions here, are asking little petty things, which only school boys cant answer.
They (atheist) are actually very short sighted so they see so many dirts around ; yet people with religion looking into a far away scenery, so everything looks good, which what needed by us mankind, while facing and walking through this turmoils of life.
Your arguments about God or religion, even if it is valid, does not give anything to support life. Does not encourage people, maybe even yourself to walk through this life.
Does not give any meaning for life.
Some religion give a better thought( way of thinking) to pass this life than the other, but having religion give more comfort to the mind, than not having it. (that's what I learn from Atheists questions and their explanation here ) . It's pathetic, frankly. Sorry ......That's what I think after all.

1) God does not create serial killers.
2) Being a killer isn't something that happens over night. Serial killers have years of being troubled. God is very active in our lives and gives us signs if we choose to see them. We do have free will, which is the one thing that sets us apart from any other being on Earth. To take that away would be ruining one of his creations.
3) God helps those who help themselves. God does indeed answer prayers, but we have to be willing to accept what He is offering us. Through this, it can change our lives.
4) The answering of our prayers would not take away from free will, but is considered a blessing and a reward for our faith in him. God also answers prayers to bring you hope and show you His love for you.
5) It is not God's will to create discord among humans. To indirectly answer this, there is a judgement day for everybody. Justice here on Earth is nothing compared to the justice He will dish out. Have peace that murderers and other awful people will be judged before God, even after their death.
I'm sorry to hear that you are doubtful. It sounds like you have a lot of soul searching to do. I can only hope that deep down in your heart you can feel the joy of His love someday and you believe in His justice.

Your questions can all be answered by reading one scripture from the Bible - 1 John 5:19 - "We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one." The wicked one being Satan the Devil. He is the one controlling things in the world, he's the one causing people to act the way they act, not God. And God only answers the prayers that are in harmony with his will.

To answer your questions, as I believe:
-God didn't create serial killers, they for whatever reason decided to follow that path and shut their hearts completely to God's influence. If your question goes deeper, to how could God create people with the capability to become serial killers, then that is because God created us of this earth. We are all created in God's image, but we are molded from the mud of Earth, figuratively speaking. The survival of all of life on earth is often brutal and amoral, so that ability exists in us as well. We decide which path to follow.
- God is active in our lives and answers our prayers, but God works within us. He gives us the power to improve ourselves. Instead of clearing the path in front of us, he gives shows us the way through the maze, and gives us the strength to walk it.
- Answering prayers does not take from free will, given the answer above.
- The horrible things happen, mostly, because we don't listen. As for natural disasters and whatnot, that again is a part of the Earth's 'plans', not God's. God does not protect us from our earthly bodies dying as part of the movement of the earth, but he does protect our souls from eternal death.

Why did God create Lucifer? Lucifer became Satan. It was Lucifers premice that God is not fair. God is not Just. He, Satan has "Ruled" this world from the fall of Adam and Eve till this very day. On the cross Jesus "proved" that sin and Satan were wrong and God is right. If you are praying for something and God decides to grant it, then it was not only in your will but also in His! God is not Santa Claus giving us candy if we're good and coal when we're bad. Our sins affect the outcome of our lives. Say one smokes for 30 years and then gets lung cancer, that is an affect of "Sin". Now say he prays for healing for his lung cancer but he continues to smoke. Can God answer that prayer with a yes??? NO!!! why? free will. Can God answer that prayer if He quits smoking? yes He can. Will He? I dunno. Sin has consequences and sometimes we must pay the price for our own actions. And sometimes bad things just happen to Good people. Good reading material is Isaiah 14:12-15 and Revelation 21 also see study guides in link below

Understand first that God creates all people equal, in His image.
This means that we come with a full set of emotions and have the capability to know many things, both good and evil.
With our power of knowledge and our gift of enlightenment, we have been created as "living souls". We have bodies just like all other life forms, and we have a "life force" that gives us animation. We breathe, we eat, we reproduce, all just like other life forms. Our difference is that our living soul is accountable to God for what we choose to do with this gift of life. Animals etc. are not accountable.
So, as our living souls experience the world, we develop likes and dislikes, we find some things funny others sad, some desireable and some fit to be avoided.
God has issued a series of instructions, if you will, on how He envisions we ought to live our lives. If we follow these instructions, our lives are generally happy, fulfilling, and good. In addition, He is pleased with us, and we get a reward when we are done living on the Earth.
There is another powerful being, Satan, who wants to rule the heavens and the earth. God is currently ruling these, but Satan basically thinks he can do a better job. He is actively trying to convince we humans to leave the "God" camp and join up with him. He can be fairly persuasive.
So, we humans are indeed running our lives, choosing as we wish which "master" we are going to serve. There are only two, God and Satan. Nobody serves themselves. We are most certainly not powerful enough to be masters of much of anything.
Those of us who are working to please God do get a prayer answered from time to time. Mostly, if we are truly serving God, we don't really have much need of prayers of request because our needs are already taken care of. We do pray on behalf of others a great deal. Sometimes, because we are in bodies made of flesh, we come down with illnesses or other bodily malfunctions, and we may pray for some sort of healing.
If our requests align with God's will, He may answer them "Yes". If we are asking for something stupid, the answer will be "No".
Think about a kid who wants ice cream for every meal. A good parent would say "No" to that request for the good of the child. God works the same way. We may really really want something, but it is not good for us.
As for God willing bad things, no, I think you are mistaken. For the most part, those serving God are protected from bad things quit a lot. The bible speaks of a "Protective Hedge" against evil around us. God will remove the hedge from time to time, and allow the world (including Satan) in. Sometimes this is a test, so we can grow spiritually. Sometimes it is an example for others to see. Sometimes it is an example for US to see.
The story of Job is such an instance when God removed the hedge entirely, and let Satan bother Job. Satan can do a lot of things, but he has his limits set by God. When Satan failed to convince Job to give up on God, the hedges went back up and Job was rewarded richly while he still lived. That is uncommon, but has happened other times as well.
God has predestined a plan for mankind. He does not predestine your life. You get to lead that however you wish.
God does have the power to look ahead and know outcomes if He wants to. God is not subject to our concept of "Time". He created it, after all. God knows things at all of our "times". He could make tweaks and changes if He wanted to, He has that power. As to whether or not He does, I do not know.

1 - God didn't create serial killers.
2 - He is active in the lives of anybody who gives Him permission. He won't force His way in.
3 - Yes.
4 - It's our free will to ask and give Him permission to help, or to reject His offer.
5 - It is NOT in His will for horrible things to happen. It's in His will that we seek Him, accept His son, learn what He wants for us and walk in that.

These are good questions. The best I can answer them is;
I'm not a believer. Nonetheless I can't claim to have seen any proof that god doesn't exist. But I will say that looking around at all the things that happen in this world (your question being some examples), I can regard it as absolutely proven, without question, that god does not interfere with events on Earth.
Those who pray for some sort of intervention are wasting their breath. And we are on our own, for better or worse. (and the choice is ours alone)

God/Reality is neutral, the multi-dimensional field in which we are embedded that is responsive to consciousnesss. People personify deity because they sometimes notice this synchronicity between being/reality, mind/matter, psychology/physics and want to believe in a daddy deity that personally has their interests at heart.
Reality offers a failsafe system for transformation because it mirrors the contents of consciousness. We can always change our minds and change our experience.

Try asking YOURSELF some questions! For example "What if I started out on the (most logical) premise that ther is no god - would I be bothered by all of these silly questions?
