Ok well first I know that no one will know for sure if he will propose except for him. But I am just curious about the possibility of this happening. It seems as if everyone around me is getting married or proposed to. Now that is not the reason that I want to marry my boyfriend. I'm not or never have been the type to jump on the band wagon. But he is someone that I am willing to settle down with, have a family, and be completely faithful to for the rest of my days. We have become closer than ever over the past 4 1/2 months. Our communication boosted to about 100%. He has said things to me like "I have never been with someone in my life that I can share everything with, and tell all my emotions to"., and "I really see myself starting a family with you". We recently moved in together which was his idea, and he always tells me that one day we are getting married and that he wants me as his wife. But no freakin ring and he hasn't asked me yet :-( What is the deal?

Statistically speaking, people who live together tend to take marriage less seriously. After all, you now have the benefits of marriage without establishing the legal ties which could complicate things in case of a divorce. Those couples are also more likely to divorce than those who lived apart before the vows. My advice is to announce that you feel uncomfortable living in such a manner and will be moving out unless there is a wedding commitment for the NEAR future. None of this nine months or more in the future. Then, while he's trying to figure out all kinds of excuses, start to plan the guest list with him. That will quickly let you know if he is serious about marriage or is just looking at a long fling.
