and why do they continue to use the incorrect mistranslated name Jehovah for the Jewish god Yahweh. William Tindall, who translated the Bible into English made this error initially. Hebrew can be difficult to translate as there are no wriiten vowels. The vowel sounds are spoken by interpreting the context of the letters.

Jehovah's Witnesses both witness personally and bear witness to others regarding God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.

(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah

(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.

(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus

(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”

(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

Jesus said you could identify the true religion by those who have love among themselves.
One of the features of that love is unity because that comes with an accurate knowledge of the scriptures.
So instead of wondering why and how we do things threw the Internet, contact your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and ask for a free home visit or bible study and find out the truth from us why we believe what we do.
It will be free of charge and there will be Scriptures from the bible to back up the reasons why.
You can follow along in your bible, it won't be a problem.

There is no written documentation of the vowels added to enable the pronunciation of the word. Jehovah is simply an educated guess as is Yahweh. BTW, I'm not a JW.

JW's didn't invent the word Jehovah. It was already on the books. Even the KJV at Ps 83:18 used it. I notice it has been removed from the NKJV. I wonder why. The WIKI encyclopedia attributes its beginning with Martin Luther. It's no more incorrect than the use of Jesus Christ as opposed to the Jewish words for his name. It's from Isa 43:10.

We bear witness about Him, defending His Name and proclaiming His righteousness...

Oh, come on, the 'J' argument again? Are you familiar with the concept of transliteration? We agree with the use of Yahweh.
Think about this though: If you know someone named Jasmine, would she not also be referred to as Yasmina in Spain?
My name is Gilberto; guess how you pronounce the 'G' in Spanish.

They of course did not witness anything. The New Testament is about Jesus and the witnesses of anything in there are witnesses of JESUS.

hmmm..No matter what you say to them..how much proof you have to show them..No matter what..They will not believe you or anyone else...I have tryed..many times.

They believe whatever is told to them by their governing body..and they will not look into it at all..If you show them proof of anything..at all..they will still deny it.
