I used to take an excedrin migrane before a night of hard partying and wake up in the morning feeling fine. After you're done partying and you've passed out the excedrin heads off the nasty headache (and in my case everything else) before it gets a chance to surface.

Got this straight from an R.N.: Before you go to bed, drink three or four 16 ounce glasses of water and two Tylenol. You'll have to get up a lot during the night to take a leak, but it works. Apparently a hangover is caused by your brain being dehydrated by alcohol, so drinking water cuts that off.

Try taking a couple Tylenol before you start to drink, if you are going to drink a little bit. If you drank all night and are getting ready to go to bed, eat a raw egg. It really does help. If you have a hang over already, have a beer, or a bloody mary. If you can't have any alcohol (like before you go to work), then take one pain pill and drink lots of water and a soda or something with carbonation. You need to burp, as gross as that sounds, but it really does make your stomach feel better. If you can, eat some bread. If you are really dehydrated, watermelon helps. But above all, drink lots of water, make it into kool aid if that helps.

A hang over is the bodies way of saying " I NEED WATER " . It is a sign of dehydration.
Drink plenty of water before, during and After the night ( during make it at least 1/3 of drinks or more).
Plus eat before drinking as this can assist in the assumption of alcohol, as well you will have some nourishment ( yeast or hops in beer, do not count as a meal )

drink a big glass of water, just before going to bed. I know it sounds bad, but alochol actually makes the brain shrink a little. Bed spin and hang overs are caused by the brain "rattling" around in the skull. You need to replace "good liquids", (ie. water) to rehydrate the area between the brain and the skull. I learned this from an EMT, have done it several times, and trust me, it works.

I take two asprin before I start drinking. While I am out I will also order a glass of ice water and sip on that in between drinks of beer, liquor or whatever I am having. This always works and wards of the headache too!

Best trick I have found is to drink the biggest glass of water you can handle right before passing out. If you wake up to pee during the night take two advil with another big glass of water the next time you wake up you'll be fine.

I'm not sure about the best way, but my mom used to take 2 aspirins before going out with a teaspoon of honey. Then she'd come home, take 2 more aspirins & then as soon as she woke up the next morning she would take 2 aspirins with another teaspoon of honey. She always said it worked for her. Good luck with that.

If you don't like the morning after then don't drink that much at nite. There is no way to prevent a hangover.
