I think the odds of it working again are slim. If it is a valuable camera, try service. If it is not or if it is an old camera that is behind the technology curve, replace it. It may not be worth fixing.

It'll need to be serviced. You probably shorted something, even if it was off when it took a dive into the pool. Especially the flash unit on the camera has a capacitor that doesn't discharge when the camera is turned off. It'll keep the charge, so if you get any water in it, it'll do the damage.
Sorry about your camera, but you'll have to take it to a camera repair shop.

There is a 99.999% chance your camera is now a paperweight.
You can take it in for service but its likely any repairs will cost more than a new camera. You may as well start shopping for its replacement.
Once you decide which camera to buy, visit cameraarmor.com and bonicadive.com and choose one of the protective covers they offer and order the one for your camera.
Then, always keep your camera safely hanging around your neck with a good strap. If you aren't using it, keep it in your camera bag.

I kinda agree with ah64dtk. You could just leave it alone for a while, that might help. But you will probably have to get a new camera. Unfortunately, they break easily.
