I think the age difference doesn't matter if you are both mature and over 18. When i was 19 (very mature at 19) I met a great man and he quickly became my best friend. I thought he was about 25 at the time. He soon told me he was 36. I really had to think about it seriously. That is a 17 year age difference!! That was over 4 years ago. We have been living together for 3 years and plan to get married in March. A few people had a real problem with it at first and probably still do, but ONLY YOU KNOW the answer to that question!!! If you are comfortable with him, he treats you right and it's not against the law I say go for it.

If you're both adults (over the age of 18 in most areas), then there is no problem. The only problem lies in what you and he think. If the age difference is really significant (25 years or so), consider the fact that statistically he's going to die a lot sooner than you, or get sick and you'll have to take care of him. If you're willing to play nurse maid because you love him, good for you. But if you don't want to give up your freedom, don't get involved. Also consider whether or not you want children, want to get married, etc.
Just look at your wants before you jump into something like this.

There is an eight year age gap between my boyfriend and me, and it does cause some problems at times. For example I look younger than I am, so sometimes we get weird looks from others.
But I want to be with him and he makes me happy so it's worth it and the age difference isn't a big deal to us. So I don't think it really matters.

If you are still in high school, then you should stick to people your own age. Younger than that, forget about dating at all. 20 something and above, it's fine but best if you don't go over the 10 year gap.

I think age is just a number if you love someone or really like someone then it shouldn't really matter about the age but if you two are 3-5 years apart then it sort of matters but still age is just a number

Of course it can, but so can almost everything else. You won't really know what's important for the two of you until you actually get involved. Me, I'd say go right ahead and see how it goes, just like in any other relationship. Hope it works out happily for you!

age difference is not a problem. If you get along well and you love each other, then who cares about the gap.
