I want to live in an wilderness like area sort of like in the forest. Near by I want mountains and a little creek. This is a big dream for me. I want to have a regular small one storry house too. How do I achieve all of this? (I actually want to live there as well not just camp there.) How do I make this work?

Nevermind people I figured out how to make it work. I'll be a bioligist. I'll end up getting a lone from the bank because just the land it's self is about 50k and higher. It's worth it though. I'll make it work.

My brother built a home at an altitude of 8,500 feet in Colorado. The home is energy-sufficient.

Step 1 is to work for a living and set aside money toward your dream.
Step 2: Find the land, buy it, keep working and saving, maybe put a trailer on the property to live in until you are able to complete your dream home.
Step 3: Build and move in.

If you would like details of the home and his power supply, you can contact me at tdk512@yahoo.com.

Sounds like your are trying to buy my dream. I don't know your age, but I am 54 and have yet to realize that dream. Mostly because life gets in the way. You have a family, kids, college etc.

Other than that, it really only takes a boat load of money and then a job after that just for living expenses. This is just a guess, but I would say to get what you want, you are looking at a minimum of a quarter millions dollars, mostly because of the location you want.

If these concerns are already taken care of, then a Realtor is the best way to go.

Contact a real estate agent, or buy a plot of land and have a contractor build a house for you.
