What others wines do you recommend?

I agree about the wines from your home state/country. Go to a place that will let you sample the wines. You just might find that the ones made right here in the good old USA are very good.

Forks of Cheat has a delicious variety of wines. It's a small winery near Morgantown WV. They will ship any place in the states, plus, if you are into making your own wines, they have supplies for that too.

One in the Amish country of Pennsylvania, is Windgate Winery. I love their Fort Mahoning Red. The sales ladies and I refer to it as "the back porch wine", since it's perfect for sitting on your back porch and watching the fireflies, in the summer.

Get to know your local wineries and wines. It's a lot of fun, and you get to know the people who own or operate them. And if you're lucky, you'll get a discount on the wines you buy.

A nice Australian white is Woodcutter's Semillion from Torbrek Vineyard in the Barossa Valley, which is a great wine producing region of Australia.

Pepper Jack shiraz is one of my favs. its a Margaret River in WA. Try four sisters.

See if you can get wines called "Evil" (Cabernet Sauvignon), "Pure Evil" (Chardonnay) "B*tch" (Grenache) "Bon Bon" (Shiraz Rose). Female winemaker, very delicious.

Wines from wineries in your state are cheaper and some are usually good.
