We brought her to the vet, but have not heard anything back. If anyone has any idea what could be wrong with her, please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated.

I would have to say it very well could be kidney failure. The kidneys are slowly shutting down. I know foaming at the mouth is very commonly associated with kidney failure shortly before they pass away. I know this becaus back in Feb, we went through it with my husbands grandmas cat. However, I hope all the information the vet tells you is positive.

Good luck!

A bloody nose and bloody stool really does indicate poisoning. Do you let her roam outside the house? Do you have rat poison or mouse poison pellets out? The main ingredient of rodent poison is warfarin, which you can google. In low doses, it is prescribed for people with cardiovascular disease, to thin the blood and prevent clots from forming. In high doses, it causes internal bleeding, and so nosebleeds and GI bleeding.

I know this is scary, but if you got her to the vet in time, maybe they can give her some clotting factors and stop the bleeding -- if indeed this is what is wrong with her. I hope not, but it sure sounds like it. In the meantime, do check around your house to see if you have any poison out.

Glad that you took her to the vet. Understand it may take them some time to run tests and get results. Still, for your own peace of mind, give them a call to check in.

It sounds like she may have gotten into something poisonous. Did this start all of a sudden or gradually? It sounds like some sort of internal injury, either from, like i mentioned, poisonous substance or broken bone?

And what's up with that answer from Leo whatever? You have no idea how long the vet has had them. Stop freaking out and giving bad advice. Give advice, not hysteria.

Thank God you took her to the vet. So many people come on here with that type of story and haven't taken the animal to the vet. I was going to start screaming about how you wouldn't get on Yahoo! Answers to see what was wrong with your kid if that were happening to them, you'd take them to the doctor.

That said, it sounds like she might have gotten into something toxic. Is she an outside cat? I hope she is okay. I'm very sorry your kitty is sick. I have 4 and it is horrible when one is ill.

Is the cat at the vet right now? Give the vet a call and ask. Only way to know for sure.

Poison?

Did anyone do a lawn treatment in your area? That's where they spray for bugs, add on weed killer and fertilizer all at the same time. The stuff is toxic and can blow with the wind onto other people's lawns.
