If everything happens in accordance to his plan, how do abused children fit into the big picture?

The same way all evil does...

Consider reading Romans, chapter 9.

What do you make of this verse:
"What if God, choosing to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patientce the objects of His wrath - prepared for destruction?" -Romans 9:22

The "BIG PICTURE" does not revolve around man...as if man were the "center" of the purpose of the universe.

The "BIG PICTURE" is that the "center" of the purpose of the universe is the One who Created the universe.

The "why" of the sovereign will of God is to reveal, preserve, delight in, and exalt His own glory. The glory of God is the visible and invisible splendor or moral beauty of God's manifold perfections. This is His nature, which includes His supremecy, immutability, holiness, power, wrath, grace, patience, mercy, gentleness, and love.

-
But let's talk of an analogy...

Movies that are blockbusters always center around 1 and/or two main themes:
1) Love
2) Justice

There are the major money-making love stories...
And there are the major money-making action and/or dramas where justice is served or done...
And there are combos of both...

Whenever the "innocent" are vindicated, we are on the edge of our seats...even wanting to stand up and cheer!

God's "BIG PICTURE" is still playing out...

And there will come a time...when HE will show His power, might, justice, and supremecy.

When this happens, the world will shout!

For we know Him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge His people". It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
-Hebrews 10:30

ALL that is "hidden" from the world - that is, ALL the good and bad done by ALL people will be laid bare for ALL to see...
And this will be so that ALL can see that God is a Just Judge.

-
But MORE importantly...is where do YOU fit into God's plan?

Are you an object of His wrath - prepared for destruction?
Or are you an object of His mercy - prepared in advance for glory?

For we ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God...and the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord...

So the simple question:
Do you reject the free gift of God and stand on your own merits before the Righteous, Just Judge who will avenge?

Or do you accept the free gift and stand on the merits of Jesus Christ before God?

I hate the whole free will argument, but it applies here. God's plan for everyone is the same...love him, love your neighbor. Help the poor.

He knows everything that happens, but I would feel comfortable saying that mistreating the helpless is not part of his plan. There's a difference between knowing what the actions of his children are and having a plan for all of us.

On the other hand, abuse of children, albeit an abhorrent act, also stirs up the goodness in other people that emboldens them to protect those children and do something to make this world just a fraction more like the one God wants for us.

Every good deed gets noticed by him.

The act of a pedophile does NOT fit into God's plan, but the soul of the pedophile DOES...and God does not wish to lose a single one of his children on earth.

Now, about what people do... sigh. We all know that is not always in the will of God, much less in human goodness. And God's way is not always reflected in the manner of His followers, nor in the laws of men. Pedophiles lack in some form of natural moral insight, and their sexual drive is demented... either genetically, or in the brain function somewhere. What punishments they will suffer by man will be something quite different from God would do.

I don't believe God wants it to perpetuate if it is a curable disease to which mankind has yet to find the cure. I think, even if that means rendering them impotent, mankind has to keep this under progressive and agressive control. Humans have to find ways to cure this, but in the meantime, they must continue to work to stop it. It's not God's will for us to allow this to continue to happen to innocents. The bullies must be restrained.

As for the little ones so abused. Whatsoever you do to these little ones you do to me... does that sound familiar? Well these little ones grow up and in the growing up they will various levels help from everyone around them.

Sometimes these litlle ones have a really hard time with what happened and they then turn around and commit criminal acts. But what will mankind do with these? What would God do?

The all-knowing and wise FATHER is there for all of us, and especially for the little ones who can not defend themselves. He will comfort the downtrodden.

It's called free will. If God interferred every time some sicko decided to do evil, it would not be free will, would it? The price of free will is very high, and does not seem at all fair when innocent children are abused by human free will. Nobody ever said life is fair, and this is a prime example. I just have to believe that every pedophile will eventually suffer worse than they inflicted on those kids.

So you suggest killing all pedophiles, rapist, and child molesters? What if it is a mentally challenge adult who doesn't know that you don't touch children? What if a person is falsely accused. Trials? Plenty of people have served years over false convictions. DNA? There can be mistakes in how that DNA is obtained. As for the child molesters. Sorry but I must be blunt, sometimes in those situation someone is turning a blinds eye, not paying attention to their children, or trusting their children too much to strangers. ___ I worked with a lady, who allowed a convicted child molestor to stay at her home. She even allowed him to babysit her kids. She claimed he was reformed and wanted to help him. He was nice. I told her to put him up in a hotel if she wanted to help. Molesters KNOW where to get victims.

pedophilia is a moral disorder. disorders are when something that should work in a certain way is somehow broken, so it workds, but not work properly. there are moral disorders, mental disorders, physical disorders. Christians believe in faith that all of creation suffers from disorder (original sin), which is why God has to act to fix it.

So (for Christians) God did not create pedophilia or pedophiles. He created people, who, because of the disorder in the world, suffer from various disorders, some of the pedophiles, some other ways. He gives everyone grace to live a holy life regardless of the disorder, by (us) controlling our actions. So God expects a pedophile to live without acting as a pedophile, and will help that person live correctly if they want.

Only if someone knows the plan, could they ever possibly answer this. God's Will is that you know the Will. God said Vengeance is Mine so why even worry about it. Just protect your children. What else ya gonna do?

The same as with any abomination, they serve to give us yet another reason to trust Him. Why does everyone keep pulling up these atrocious people? Car wrecks, abortions, blown up space shuttles, it's all in His plan. Does that mean it makes Him happy? Not in the least. He's told us what He wants and what makes us happy, and by coincidence, it's the very things most people would say make them happy, but we don't do it and mock Him for thinking we should. So we bring upon ourselves the price of what we chose.

Christ said that it would be better for a person to have not been born then to harm a child. God has already placed judgment on pedophiles

Hell is going to especially hard for pedophiles.

As far as I know, Oprah Winfrey was abused as a chid, wasn`t she? And each celebrity has a dark past or secret. So that had to happen so she can be happy now. That`s my view. Who knows? Nice question though
