I got my all four of my wisdom teeth extracted about 2 days ago. Yesterday I got sick and threw up on an empty stomach. I know that spitting motions and such can cause dry sockets so I was wondering if I caused any damage would I already feel the pain or could I still expect it to hit me? I don't feel any additional pain yet and the swelling has gone down a little.

Believe me, you will know. When I had my wisdom teeth out I kept my mouth very clean and I still got a stitch infection and dry socket. The stitch infection hurt much worse than the dry socket. I just thought the dry socket felt like a tooth that's very very sensitive to pretty much everything, but the stitch infection made me feel like my entire head was about to explode. Make sure you are rinsing with an oral syringe and salt water, or an antibiotic rinse. Don't drink from a straw or spit after you brush because the suction can cause the blood clot to loosen from the socket, therefore causing dry socket.

3rd day is when the drysocket pain typically hits, don't rinse or do anything other than normal brushing.. Rinsing can cause dry sockets, let the sites heal on their own. I wouldn't worry. Dry sockets are caused mostly by not following post op instruction(smoking).

It took about 3 days after the extraction for me to notice mine. It hit me out of nowhere. There will be no question about it if you have one, the pain is that intense.

If you think you may have caused one, you won't know until the pain starts.

Your pain from a situation known as Corneal Edema/Corneal Hypoxia..that is a loss of oxygen to the cornea, and will intent severe disorders adding Corneal Dessication(demise). You definately will have to certainly not sleep in touch lenses and quit going to whoever instructed you that was once ok. And it's inconceivable for them to roll in the back of your eye. You need to no longer have performed your study..and for humans such as you i advocate GLASSES.

Oh you'd feel it alright. Dry sockets are EXTREMELY painful, so if you had one...trust me...you'd know it.
