Which book?
The "revelation" that she was often emotionally down(it's hard to be up when surrounded by suffering) and that she experienced 'dark night of the soul"( feeling abandonded by God) like many saints makes me admire Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta more

No. I'm sure like many others Mother Theresa did what she felt was right. But her unyielding stand against abortion in a country where babies are born to starving, diseased, and under aged mothers, only to die soon after birth, was insane and ridiculous. A truly holy act would have been to break with Rome and make birth control and abortions available to the countless slum dwellers she had such "compassion" for. When she is canonized a saint, just like the late lionized Pope John, XXIII, I'll just have to grin and bear it!

She believed in God according to the Catholic doctrines, so she was not an Atheist per se. But she was a person that was never born again and still had sin even though she tried to live a life of celibacy as a nun in India. Such a person will never be allowed into heaven, for heaven can only accept righteous people, those without sin.

I'd be interested in reading about her life. I think she was Jesus like. A light in a dark world. She was right to have the foreboding about the church. I am sure we will see her thoughts vindicated in the near future.
