I am a mother to 21 month old , and I have been working up until a week ago. My husband and I decided if I stay home with her, instead of having her in daycare that it would be better. I always wanted to to be a stay at home mom. But the thing is that I still think I need to bring in a little extra income on the side. Is there anything I can do from home that is legit, and be able to take care of my daughter at the same time? Your ideas are welcome. No scams please.

Do you sew, knit, crotche? If so you can make somethings to sell at flea markets or on line. Are you a photographer, you can do that from home, with a little setting up have an indoor studio. Take digital photos of people, kids pets and burn to a CD then sell them the CD. Can you teach piano/organ/flute etc - that you can do from home. Can you wipp up meals quickly, you could do catering from home for people. do you like to bake, can you make cakes. I just got a Cars cake from a gal in our small town that does a great job of baking, she does it for parties - maybe your tallented in this department. How about babysitting animals in your home or going to their house to let them out when their owners are on holidays or working late. If your secretarial based then do some word processing at home when the kids go to bed. Can you draw or paint, you could do murals in kids rooms for people who can't draw. What about a spray tanning set up...people come to you and you spray the tan on and then they go, dosn't take much room - you could add waxing and nails to the business easily.

You can put up an ad in a few local shops to let people know what you are doing and you'd be surprized the calls you'll get.

I guess you can always do Avon or another home based business that has been around for years. Think about what you are good at and see what others are looking for ~ I am sure you can think of something. Good luck and enjoy!

Babysitting is a good way.I babysit in the summer. You can also get alot of your baby things from yard sales. Years ago I actually got a name brand diaper bag. My son had 3 big wheels at one time. I paid less for three then the neighbor paid for one. Your doing the right thing by staying home.Don't feel guilty. It is the most important job u will ever have. Good luck

I have become a sahm mom almost 2 years ago. I know your feeling as to wanting to be able to contirbute to your finacial part. I made over 2200.00 a month and gave it all up.

This is what I did.

I buy from estate auctions, and yard sales, storage units ect and sell on ebay. I also sale my kids unwanted or unneed items also, as well as other unneeded household items.
Also my friends and family give things to me to sale and I charge them like 20 % of the sale. They dont have to deal having a yard sale to get rid of it it.

I dont get rich by it,summer is harder to sell because you have so many yard sales to compete with but I buy alot in the summer and listed in the winter.
It is pretty simple to do as long as you have digtal camera, and a computer you can make money.

Hi, I stay home with my 2 kids and do a business out of my home. I love the company and it allows me to make my own hours. Check out my website and see what you think. www.thebodyshopathome.com/web/shannondemi

Upload my CDs, and return the digital music to me on a portable harddrive. You could also get a nice scanner and scan my old photos while you are at it.

Seriously.
