Police Search - Advice on Situation - PART 1?

I was hanging w/my little cuz in parking lot of supermarket after buying soda. He was asking me advice about his1st girlfrnd Police DT and 3 other pulled us out of car and searched us. I went a bit haywire when he asked me if I had weapons and I said no but he started grabbing my groin area. I laughed+said I had nothing to hide but wanted know if he was going to search me not ask a question and start poking around my crotch. They wanted search car+I ask why. DT said he saw me reach into back+hide something. I immediately said I did no such thing. DT lied of course.They clearly wanted search for narcotics. My cuz does dress with the tilted cap, baggy jeans, etc. I suppose I looked like an older guy (12 yrs apart) scoring some drugs or casing. But would we do it in supermarket parking lot and walk around first then talk in car for 30min? Do u think I should hav fought cops? I figure they really believed drugs there+would make up story to get search warrant while we spend night in jail

I mean Fight as in deny consent to search, invoke my right to counsel, etc. Not physically fight you nimrod. I don't want a baton up my a**.

Also we did not get charged with anything. Sent along our way without even a parking ticket. Cousin was making stuff up like our Uncle was inspector general of such and such. I told him to shut the f*ck up.

Walks like a duck...Talks like a duck. Harsh reality but it's true. Probably fit the description of someone or the car fit a description.

You may be surprised to find this out, but supermarket parking lots are the #1 spot for larger transaction illeceit deals, such as drugs and weapons. You were right not to fight, that would have gotted you additional charges that you don need. Did you get charged with something? If not, then be on your way...although, in a car in a supermarket parking lot is not where you will want to hang in the future.

Yeah, genius...'fighting the cops' always ends well for the fighter. I recommend it. You will have stories to tell all your cellmates later.

The street is not the place to challenge the police. You (and they) are much safer physically if you follow their orders and directions at the time, on the street.

Later, if you feel you were mistreated, or your rights were violated, then contact the department and file a complaint, or contact an attorney.

Don't hang around in a parking lot. You would be surprise how many drug arrests you can make any given day. checking out parking lots.
