Amour is love...but to tell someone you love them, say "Je t'aime" (Aimer is the French verb for "to love").
If you're just saying hi to a friend..."Salut!" (sounds like "sall-oot)
"My name is Michael" would be "Je m'appelle Michael". To ask someone for their name, simply say "Et toi? Comment t'appelles tu?" (And you? What is your name?)
And you were very close on Parle vous LA Francais, you just have to put the "la" in front of it to indicate it's feminine.
There are your corrections and a few simple hints. If you ever need a direct translation, let me know or there is a great Yahoo! service called Babel Fish, I'll provide the link.
Au Revoir!
-Michael

Hi Melissa,
Good phonetic transcription of French phrases. French, more so than Italian or Spanish, really does need someone to demonstrate how to pronounce it, particularly in the early stages - there are several sounds that do not occur in English or Spanish but are phonemically discrete, so you need a native or good non-native speaker to get you started. Just one example - there are four different nasal vowels in French, often reduced to three, but the ability to recognise and reproduce them as three different sounds is pretty important. Ergo difficult to teach you online.

You could take a french course in high school or college. This will give you the grammar and pronunciation. As you know, you won't learn french overnight. It took me at least nine months to a year to even speak it. Your best bet is to live in a french speaking community or go to a french country and speak every day.
As for a site, you could try About.com.

Try the language tools on Google. You can type something in English and it will translate it into French, at least until you can find a formal book/lessons to learn the language in its entirety
