Good or bad. I'm on it and I'm not quite sure about it yet.

I would get off of it slowly. Start juicing and detoxifing your system. And get your colon clean. Then check your hormone levels at your dr office....along with free t3 and free t4 and TSH.

I've been off and on again with zoloft for 3 years now and I think I'm better off with it. When I'm not on Zoloft I hate everything, wont socialize, and basically don't care about anything. Granted when I'm on it I don't feel like I"m in wonderland and I love everyone, but it calms me down alot. I'd ask yourself if you really need it and go from there. In my case, I really need it.

Oh, and if you're thinking about taking it because you're going through a rought time at the moment, I wouldn't recommend starting it just to get over the moment. Take it only if you feel like the problem has been going on for a while.

I've been on zoloft for going on six years. I developed ocd and anxiety after my aunt's death when I was in the 7th grade...at which point I was prescribed luvox. Honestly, luvox made my life a living hell...it was horrible. After all the problems, I was switched to zoloft and it made my life sooooooooo much better. I actually function like a normal person. I have zero signs of OCD and my anxiety is much better. An added bonus, I also take it to regulate my super horrible pms mood/anxiety problems. It effects everyone differently, but give your body a while to adjust to it and see how you feel.

I took it for a little over a year and got up to 200 mg/day. It did nothing for me and was a waste of my time. It lowered my sex drive and made me sleep less but did nothing for my anxiety and depression. I now take Effexor.
