Tonight is our first game. This is the Friday I've been ready for for a while. So atheists will you wish me luck? Christians will you pray? I feel super nervous right now, and I think it will last until the third play of the game or so. But anyway, I'm signing out for the evening, so have a great day.

Alright, I didn't sign out just yet, but I play Offensive Tackle. I'm a huge guy...6'7" 320.

Good luck! I miss Friday night football. When I was in college I would make the drive all the way back to my hometown to see my younger brother play. Nothing is quite comparable to Friday nights in a small town. Stay safe, and have fun!

Buona fortuna!
So, when my high school used to play the Catholic Schools, they'd kneel in prayer before the game, you know "please God watch over the boys and keep them safe, etc" but then their coach would always give the typical coach speak "Now get out their and rip somebody's head off!!!!"
Ah football. That always made me crack up.
My favorite saying by my coaches is that they wanted "disciplined maniacs". I hope that you will be a disciplined maniac and knock the stuffing out of the other guys.
Meanwhile, I got a fantasy football draft tomorrow. Enjoy the glory now, son. Chicks aren't so impressed by guys who draft Wes Welker in the 9th round as a surprise sleeper pick.

Yes, "Grandson"('cause you're probably young enough to be), I pray for your safety and also for the safety of the defensive linemen when they knock up against you trying to get to the ball carrier! LOL
I played hish school football, myself - way back when! I usually played offensive tackle and defensive safety. We barely had enough boys to even play 11-man football and played only 6-man my Freshman and Sophomore years!
Neither of my sons played football; but my *real* grandson, who turns 9 years old tomorrow, is in his second year of playing something like Pee-Wee football.

I'll pray for you!
Uh, I hate that feeling just before a game. I used to be in Cross Country and Track and I HATED the sound when that gun went off - and everyone just sprints as fast as they can... Uh I hate that.
But anyway, I'll pray that you won't be as nervous. :)

I will pray that you, and everyone else, will do their very best and that the best team will win. I think that's only fair.
And I wish you luck!
Sending you a smile to help pick up your day.
