yesterday, jube, who responded to my question about the constitution says that the ammendments i cited have not been taken away or restricted.
any law which opposes the constitution is a violation of ammendment 14.take the 2nd ammendment for example.clearly states that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed.doesnt say infringe those rights if a man has no license, doesnt restrict the type of weapons you can have.
furthermore the police are constantly arresting people for free sppech ,under the guise of disorderly conduct or noise.
where in the constitution does it say that you have to keep your voice low?
it says this right, and all rights, shall not be abridged.you can have your opinions jube, but im the wrong person to argue the cosntitution with.
furthermore, all citizens have the right to citizens arrest and police are not immune to such arrest.you may wanna check your facts before making stupid statements.

Way too go Fred D !! I agree with you 100%

People in the USA and other so called free nations are losing their rights at an alarming rate. Even more so since 9-11.

Benjamin Franklin (A very wise man, you would do well to learn about him and the other founding fathers as well) said "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." and it stands true even today.

As for the 2nd amendment it does not specifically state that only the military or law enforcement should carry firearms. How some can think this is unfathomable. I do agree that violent and mentally unstable individuals should not posses firearms but this should also include members of the military and law enforcement. Unfortunately, they seem to be above the law or able to completely bypass the law.

Those who don't want ordinary citizens owning firearms fail to see that they are the only thing that has kept us from becoming a complete police state.

As for arresting people for free speech. YES this is happening. I have seen it time and time again. Someone who is arrested for having a certain bumper sticker, Announcing their views, wearing a certain article of clothing, etc. I have seen police abuse people just because they stood up for their rights. I have also seen people arrested for filing a complaint against a Leo who abused them. If you can't see what is happening to this country then you need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid and Wake up. This is more than disturbing people by shouting as some people have mentioned.

The problem as I see it is no one wants to stand up for what they believe anymore. Of course if you do you are arrested and that feeds the fear that everyone has. This of course is only a small portion of the problems that are on-going.

What we need is a return to a strict reading of the constitution including The Bill of Rights, and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We also need a return to Government that is run by the people, for the people.

And most of all the corruption that has engulfed this nation must end !

First of all, law abiding citizens do not have their their rights infringed upon. However, if you break the law, certain rights are taken away from you. And yes, the second amendment doesn't restrict what type of weapons you can have, but states can make laws that do. As long as you still can own A weapon, your rights aren't being infringed upon. There are an infinite amount of loopholes in state and federal laws that allows this to happen. The law keeping you from purchasing an automatic weapon is there because what use do you have for one? They are used as offensive weapons and arent very practical for defensive purposes, unless there are other people firing automatic weapons at you. So might as well make it where no one can have them.
The thing about people being arrested "under the guise" of disorderly conduct ridiculous. If your out in public shouting slurs and making other people uncomfortable or offended, that is disorderly conduct. Where in the constitution does it say that you CANT have your right to be loud in public infringed upon?

I just checked the bill of rights (followed by the *rest* of the Constitution) and I can't for the life of me find the words "Citizen's Arrest" in there anywhere... Where is that "right" guaranteed? In Missouri, Citizen's Arrests are allowed, for instance, but if you are mistaken, you are civilly and criminally liable for your actions. I don't recommend it.

All rights have limits (see "yelling fire in a crowded theater" and the First Amendment for an example). The Second Amendment also clearly states that the REASON for the right to bear arms is the necessity of a "WELL REGULATED militia". This gives the government some measure of control (or REGULATION) of firearms.

Where in the Constitution does it say you can violate others rights because of your "interpretation" of it? I have never seen anyone challenge a noise ordinance under the guise of Constitutional violations.
