I have a Savage 30-06, and when I go into the deer woods in a couple of months, I would like to use this new line of ammo. Has anybody used it ? Would you reccommend it ? Thanks.

I just received a couple of boxes to try out. I got the 308 Win 150 grain bullets. I went to the range this past tuesday and I must say I was really impressed .I have shot the Barnes All Copper Rifle Bullets in 308 in the past and thought they were nice, but I like these Winchester cartridges even better. Can't wait to try them in Colorado on Mulies and here on the east coast on Whitetails. The Winchester ammunition has a polymer tip, controlled expansion bullet that really will add to the knock down power hunting. The Winchesters get my vote for best factory ammunition at this point.

It is good fodder for your rifle; but test some first. Over the years I have found that various thundersticks sometimes give their best performance with one kind of shell and don't like another. It makes them seem almost human in some respects.
