Ask people to bake stuff and give it to you, ask a bank or business if they'll let you hold a bake sale at lunchtime (they'll usually go for it because it's almost like a catered lunch), and then rake in the dough. If you're having trouble getting people to bake for you, tell them there's a competition, and you're going to auction off the best item, and name drop some of the other people baking.
Just don't let anyone bring their newly-adopted freckle faced foster child with a lot to learn about the true value of friendship along, or there will probably be a food fight, firecrackers, and Stevie Ray Vaugn on a loop.

there are some stores that actually do a match of what you raised when you use their facility to raise funds as long as you have a paper showing your tax deductible status call some of the store managers in your area. like having a car wash at walmart or sams club or a bake sale or something like that. we have had walk-a-thons where the walkers had to gain sponsors. or youth auctions where people who had jobs to be done around their house would hire our youth to do the work.
