1. Established at Mount Sinai after G-d (through Moses) had led the Israelites from Egypt. (When G-d gave the Torah.)

2. It depends. The first covenant was with Abraham in Mesopotamia, but the Torah was given by G-d through Moses at Mt. Sinai.

3.
1. G-d exists
2. G-d is one and unique
3. G-d is incorporeal (nonmaterial)
4. G-d is eternal
5. G-d alone is to be worshipped and no other
6. G-d's prophets are truthful
7. Moses was the greatest of the prophets
8. The whole Torah was given to Moses on Mt. Sinai (Written and Oral)
9. There will be no other Torah and the Torah will not be changed or annulled
10. G-d has foreknowledge of men's actions, thoughts, and words
11. G-d will deliver retribution
12. The Messiah will come
13. The dead will be resurrected at the coming of Moshiach (Messiah)

[Please note that Conservative and Reform generally have a differing opinion on #8.]

4. The rabbis are our "clergy."

5. In my opinion, men and women are treated differently but equally--other women will tell you differently because as with all things Jewish, when there are two Jews, there are three opinions. For instance, in synagogue the men and the women sit separately--this is so that neither side (but mostly the men) are distracted from prayer. However, the women's side can have curtains and the women can look over the men's section, whilst the men's section can not look over the women's. Depending on who you ask, this is for a few reasons. In Judaism, women are considered closer to G-d spiritually, but both men and women have an equal standing before Him.

6. It didn't, really. We're not a proselytizing religion. Although it did seem to spread a bit during our exiles simply because we were exiled. But we also know where the Diaspora got us today...

7. Oh I don't know, lots of places.

8. There are too many types of Jews to have a symbolic "Jewish" architecture. I mean the architecture of a Jewish neighborhood in Israel is going to be different than the architecture of a Jewish neighborhood of Germany, you know? Ashkenazim, Sephardim, and Mizrahim all have different styles.

Modern Orthodox Judaism

You could be doing this through Internet searches:
Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, etc.
1) Christianity grew out of Judaism, through the life of Jesus.
2) We number our common era, from the birthdate of Jesus.
3) The Golden Rule is the common teaching of most religions.
Christians believe Jesus was the Son of God.
He died for our sins & was raised from the dead.
He ascended into Heaven, & gave us the Holy Spirit.
4) Clergy consist of 3 orders: Bishops, Priests, & Deacons.
5) Men & Women are equal in status & complementary.
6) Christianity spread by word of mouth & personal witness.
7) Christianity dominated the known world by 1000 CE.
8) Google some images of churches.

Go to your local library. go to the non-fiction section. go to the 100-200 section. have fun!
