turn off all the lights, get in the big bed, and lay down with them, no talking,

i ususally do one at a time because its faster that way.

and then one will wake up earlier than the other

i uses this time for alone time with each child
giving them special attention

If you could have you wife sit in a room with the tv on a boring station, that isn't too bright
(CSI is good for that)

its quiet and kinda like setting the mood

while you try and make the little one go to sleep

, after he falls asleep then start with the other one

9 pm is a good sleep time or 8:30

good luck

Meg

Try a bath before bed. Not with bubbles and toys, thats too much stimulation. Lower lights throughout the house and make sure to turn OFF the TV.

soft music helps, so does having a competition between the 2. Tell them you are going to see which of the two can keep their eyes closed the longest. Expect a little peeking, but just remind them gently to keep them closed. That with soft music might help put them out.

Lay them down in their parents' bed and dim the lights. Yawn a lot because yawning is contagious and it will cause the kids to yawn and get tired. Tell them to close their eyes. Read them some stories in a very soft and soothing voice. Keep reading for about 30 to 45 minutes, progressively letting your voice get softer. That should put them out.

put your foot down, they're testing you because your not their parent so they feel they don't have to really listen to you. lay them in the bed and tell them not to move, to go to sleep and make sure they don't moveif they want something to drink put it in their cups and keep them in the bed don't give them an excuse to get up they'll fall asleep

all else fails tire them out by letting them run around in the backyard or something like that

I do this with mine.....
Get them to chase each other around a table! They will do this for atleast a half an hour, guaranteed. Then give them something
heavy to eat. It works everytime for me. Plus it's great exercise.

let kids play outside/park, chase them all around the yard & wear them out playing. then it's time to eat, bath they will have a hard time staying awake. the key is to wear them out from playing.

Get a belt. Or, alternatively, razor wire. Make sure the marks are hard to see.
