About how much does it cost for a check up for a cat? And how much does deworming medication cost in average? I'm just looking for an average please.

well puppies usually go up to 800. So for a kitten that would maybe be 600 per Kitten.

The kitten shots are given in two or three rounds. My kitten just finished her three rounds. The first two cost around $50 and the third on was almost $80 (thats when they did the rabies) The vet should do deworming and distemper shots as well as rabies shots. Also the cost will depend on what the vet charges for just the visit alone. My vet only charges $25 for the short visit.

costs can be pretty significant.
I took my new kitty in for a once over after I picked her up.
She had all her shots except rabies- Which I was told would be about $65.
But when she was there, they determined she had an ear infection... another $100.
Depends on how young and what shots have already been given. Kittens at 8 weeks probably need 3 more sets of shots at around $80 ea... If you call around to local vets- ask them. Shop around. Rural areas may be cheaper then in the big city.

It really depends on where you live. I live in a large city so the costs are pretty steep. We pay over $100 for the checkups and shots every year (per cat). When we had to get our male cat fixed it cost us around 150 and to get our female cat spayed it cost nearly 350!! I've only had to buy 2 medications (one for worms and an antibiotic) but both cost me about 40.

call around to different vet offices in your area. ask for prices and also to come in and visit the facility and have a tour and meet the staff. you want a place that has a good reputation also so ask friends neighbors and family members where they take their pets. sometimes the cheepest place is the cheepest place for a reason.

Considering west coast prices are usually higher, and that we don't know where you live, your best bet is to just call around to the different vets in your area and ask them by phone what their standard charges are.

Anything else and we'd just be guessing, really.
