their obligation to spread the word on some level--right? Most atheists claim people can believe whatever they want as long as no one tries to "push" their beliefs on them--follow me? Why is it then, 9 out of 10 times this debate comes up-- it's an atheist attempting to "push" his/her belief on Christians? Is this Bizarre-O world or what in here???? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

This is not an attack on either party per say-- it's just an observation about the interaction of both sides-- BOTH of which I think misbehave in this place.

You've GOT to be kidding?!? So YOU define what constitutes "pushing". Let me get this straight then-- trying to convince someone to see a thing their way is "pushing" but belittling, ridiculing, and insulting the snot out of someone for not seeing a thing their way is just peachy? ATTENTION ALL CHRISTIANS-- Stop "pushing" and start ridiculing-- they like that better!

I have never seen an atheist push his belief on anyone. He might tell you why he doesn't believe. He may tell you what he thinks of your belief. If he's immature he may even ridicule you for your belief. But one thing he doesn't do is insist that you believe what he does.

Sadly I have noticed the proclivity for far too many self-styled atheists to utilize derogatory language in their polemics against believers. And they certainly save the worst of that for the Christians of whatever denomination.

One can but wonder what they fear so much that they must perforce be so antithetical about it.

I haven't seen a single Christian on this board shove their faith in someone's face. They offer their opinion and make the choice clear, but they don't shove it in anyone's face.

I have attempted to answer a few of these sorts of "questions" and was tickled pink to see your observaton. We need more of your types on both "sides" of these interactions, as you call them. Keep on contributing, please.
