I read something years ago - either in Dear Abby or Playboy Advisor. It asked the question as to which saying was correct - yours or "Out of sight; out of mind." The answer was that separation (absence) was like a breeze - it snuffs a candle (weak relationship) and fans a flame.

If we all slept with just anybody we wouldn't truly appreciate the one were with. Thus absence or abstinence makes the heart grow fonder.

Absence is a separation. Spiritually speaking, we seem to be separated from God and that eventually causes a "longing". This "longing to be with God, brings us right into God's Presence.
Same goes for you my friend, we will miss you and "long" for your return! Have a GREAT time!!!!

I can prove it, and you can help me.
Don't eat for 2 days, just take water and vitamins.
The next day you'll have a whole new appreciation for food.
Even hot dogs look good then, and they ARE puckered butts.
