"Colon Cleansers" have been debunked as a myth. The icky evacuation they cause, claimed to be the "gunk lining your colon" is actually caused by the so called "cure" and is not in you.
Your body "detoxes" itself constantly. Drinking lots of water will do NOTHING to speed the process, despite what some fools believe.

To detox naturally, start with a magnesium citrate laxitive to help clear and serious blockages. Then, just follow this up with a healthy diet with plenty of fiber. Eat rasin bran, cheerios, oatmeal and other whole grain cereals for breakfast.
Make sure lunch and dinner are balanced meals. snack on fruits and veggies. Drink fruit juices and teas and avoid soda and coffee. Alcohol should be avoided while detoxing. Taking a good multi-vitamin helps.
I've used cleansing teas and things will come out of your body. Do a tea cleanse once a week, it's very gentle, you aren't on the toilet all day. There is no need to buy fancy and/or expensive preparations. Detox tea availible on your supermarket shelf at a reasonable price. It contains basically the same stuff you'd get from a chinese herbalist or holistic practitioner.
Good Luck :-)

High fiber foods will do it naturally. Don't get caught up in this detox craze. Eat right and live right. I am 60 years old. 6'1" 235 l;bs cholesteral 135 bp 132/60 pulse 58. I have a clean bill of health on my colon check. I have always eaten good fiber meals. Vegetables and fruit. And water. Unless you are sick this should do it.

Oh my gosh. What is it with people and their colons lately? Sheesh. I guess I can't throw stones, though, since I recently cleansed my own colon. Just a lot of postings about colons in the last few days. I guess people are taking the expression "Watch you @ss" a little to literally, lol.

I asked my dr. about colon cleansers and she said that they are completely unnecessary. The intestine cleanses itself and making the colon spasm and force out the waste is harmful to the colon and can cause permanent damage.
If you're constipated then take a gentle laxative or eat bran or prunes. Please don't take the chance of hurting yourself.

You would be silly not to try something like Prosit, it is to be taken daily and is a colon cleanser as well as a blood purifier. I have been using it for 3 years not to control my weight and to make sure I stay healthy, search on Google for Prosit +African +Cures
It is from South Africa and can be bought in the USA. Try it for 2 months, you will feel healthier.

A high fiber diet is all you need. Your body is perfectly capable of keeping your colon clean. If commercial products were necessary, don't you think doctors would be prescribing them routinely and not be a "secret" available only on TV?

Metamucil Powder is still the best treatment for cleansing the intestinal system. Take 1tsp. first thing in the morning with a large glass of water and repeat at bedtime.

You'd consult your doctor first, but the key is fiber, unless you have adverse reaction to it. Try using Psyllium seed husks, also known as ispaghula or simply as psyllium. Also you'd drink prune juice. If no improvement in a week, must consult doctor.
