It depends on the need. Often during a quiet time, I'll go through a number of people, or situations that I've thought about during the day. When someone is truly hurting, or seems in great sadness or despair I will pray silently right away.

I never use that phrase, prayer as a Pagan is a bit more difficult (sic). The only structure that looked like a ziggurat was the roof of the bungalow, as planning would not allow us to build a new temple. Prayer is a long affair, simply because we have to carry the sacrificial alter up to the top of the roof, and it interferes with the TV Ariel, so its done when there is nothing good on the box.
I would do it more often but to be honest the sacrifice of the male goat, the naked virgins attending the fires and the all night chanting doesn't go down too well with the neighbours. I might be able to do a few more prayers if I found young good looking virgins, but four old ladies with cellulite has really turned my neighbours off a repeat performance, and they get irate even if I take the alter out of the garage to clean it now.

I usually say a quick prayer right there. Because I found in the past you say you will pray for someone sometimes you forgot. But I believe def in the power of prayer over the past year I've seen it. Although I don't go to church and read the Bible all the time. I think if you aren't Christian, even just sending a good thought out to the person helps as well.

Both. I will either pray with them right then and there if I feel that would help them, or say a quick prayer. If their circumstances have touched my heart in some way, I will pray again later than night.

If I pray for someone it could be a quick prayer at that time and again when I pray at night.

The bible tells us, that we should pray without seasing, I pray on and off all day long, and alot of times when I am praying for someone, I tell got that he knows what is going on and he knows what they need better than I, put I pray that he will be with them, guiding them, just as he did with me, that he would keep them safe, and that he would open their hearts to see his love. But he it is someone I really know, then I will take more time praying for them. But the bible says, that he knows the hearts of the ones who love him. So prayers don't have to be long, actually, prayers, don't even have to be verbal, most of the times it is a thought, "God bless him", "protect her", "show them your love","your will be done".
Just so you know I pray for each one of these answers that I put in, that maybe you or someone else will be moved, will won't to know more......I justed said a prayer for you!!!!

I talk to God all day long, not just at night. If I chose to only pray at night, I'd fall asleep before I was finished and would leave something unsaid. So I talk to God all day, as things enter my mind or a person I know needs prayer.

It might be an immediate quick prayer.
It might be an immediate quick prayer followed by any given number of additional quick prayers whenever I think of them.
It might be that I spend a long period of time in prayer.
For me, it sort of depends on the gravity of the situation and the depth of need.

If I tell someone that I am going to pray for them. . .I am very sincere about it. . .and will pray for them often. It doesn't make a difference if I go shut myself up in a closet for 5 hours or if I whisper their name in the middle of the day while sitting at my desk at work, imo. : )
