Years ago from the AA, but usually from the dealership where I bought the car or had it serviced. I think DirectLine did too.

(For the Americans who are wondering what this is about: in the UK the car registration is a disc about 4" in diameter which is placed on the inside of the windshield on the passenger side. The disk shows the registration (license plate) and expiration date. They are colour coded for easy reading. These days the UK traffic police have cameras in their cars which can recognize the registration number and check it against the DVLA database as it drives past them, so tax disks aren't so important really.)

Some years ago it was the in thing for insurance companies as a come on to buy their insurance !!!? Can't say it ever worked on me!
