and whats happened to gooseberries? Where did blueberries come from we never used to have these in England before?

try going to Waitrose at the moment for blackcurrants redcurrants gooseberries damsons ,thier shelves are full of them

Asda sell blackcurrants not very cheap mind cant say i've seen redcurrants and gooseberries though

I bought some redcurrants today at Tesco. Imported from Holland. Maybe next year I will plant some fruit bushes, they are even better freshly picked. Blueberries grow here too, known by various names - Bilberry, Airelle, Dyeberry, Huckleberry, Whortleberry, Wineberry

haven't seen blackcurrants in the shops for a while must be cos there all being used for ribena i have seen sum punnets of redcurrants in my local co-op recently though for an extortionate price

Asda and the CO OP have black and red currants just now. A lot of the blue berries are brought in from abroad I think the ones I had on Saturday were from Poland

You go to the wrong shops.
Blueberries have only been grown commercially in this country since the 1970s.
The are a cultivated form of the native bilberry
