Silly people! Has an "illegal" ever taken your job?

Question

I travel by train to NY during the week. Along the way, we make stops at many 'small towns'. I see so-called 'illegals' at quite a few stops.
But I also see big fancy cars pulling up, trucks,. SUV's, all kind sof vehicles---picking up these 'illegals'-obviously they are taking them to some work site.
And to tell the truth, a couple of Mexicans were working next door to me a few months back. They did a really fabulous job on my neighbor's landscaping. and so I hired them!
They took care of my landscaping also. In fact I tipped them handsomely. Better job than any other contractor I have ever hired from the United States!
and do you know what? I'd hire them again.
Why?
Because they work their behinds off and what they charge is not unreasonable or inflated.

I think it bothers you more that they stand around convenience stores. ok -- Then work on a place where they can stand.....so they can go to WORK. They're not standing around waiting to rob your house SILLIES!

I HAD hired white men, and so have others in my family. For YEARS we have supported them.
Now we, and many others, PREFER Mexicans. They work and EARN their money...

I don't buy chnese toys for 'my children" because I am a young woman who is not married and who has no children. However, I happen to like some Chinese products just as I happen to like some products which are manufactured/produced/etc, by companies in the USA.
Given a choice? I prefer foreign made. A car made in the USA has a lifetime that just about equals when your last payment is due. After that, it's all repair, replace, re-everything.
Now I buy foreign made. I prefer quality NOT "Buy America" just because some item or another is made here!!!

maybe if the contractors I and my family have used in the past hadn't tried to squeeze every dime out of us--or who hadn't purposely claimed they couldn't get this or that in order to finish a job -- or who took our money and then took months to finish the job--and then did a poor job--maybe I would give them a little more consideration,.

I have to agree with you 100 % an "illegal" has never taking my job because obviously I am not going to go pick fruits and veggies, clean hotel rooms, sweep floors or anything of that sort. People think illegals are so bad because they are taking jobs away from teens oh puh-leeze teens are not going to want those jobs! neither are homeless people they are too lazy. but yeah! thumbs up to you!

And what about the criminals? Three promising young Americans were murdered in cold blood by someone who had no business being here to begin with. Not to mention the countless sickos the kidnap rape and molest our children. And what about the strain on our social programs and education? Why don't you stop thinking about your stupid yard and try paying attention to the bigger picture for a change. While educated immigrants from Europe, Africa and India are being denied visas (which lowers our comparative advantage in technology btw) criminals and landscapers are flocking here in drones. I personally do not want someone in my country who cannot respect the same laws that I have to follow. But as long as your pool is clean, what do you care? And you call yourself an American? I'd wish we could deport people like you!

It is soooo true. When will people understand that MOST illegals come here to work for their families.

Americans who don't have jobs are the lazy ones who prefer to live on welfare than to work. Believe me any American can get a job, I mean how hard is it to work at a burger place?

It a stereotype to say that Hispanics are good at gardening and landscaping. They are good at many things not just those two.

While I am against the illegals being here because of a lot of things, I do not believe they are taking away jobs. With the unemployment rate at 4.3 %, I am guessing that most Americans that want to work, are. And from what I have seen they are very hard workers. Of course there is also the other side of that. Drugs, gangs etc.

What bothers me most is having criminals running around lose. I haven't heard the child molestation numbers for today yet but there were 5 of our young kids raped yesterday by illegals. They ARE standing around to rob us, to harm our kids and by their own admission to take this country away from us. We need laws NOW with extremely harsh penalties for anyone who hires, aids, rents to, admits into a school or hospital and a big reward to those who turn those people in. We MUST get rid of illegals, they are a much bigger threat to America than any other terrorist group.

Yes they have. At one time I worked construction. I don’t anymore thanks to illegal aliens. I wouldn’t take the wage they were paying illegals.

I still have friends in the construction business, they are self-employed, and one of them went to New Orleans. He figured that there was a lot of work, and he would only have to deal with a boss, and get a steady paycheck. Went down got hired and worked until the illegals showed up, then he was fired. They could hire two illegals for the wage they were paying him. He’s back working for himself.

Some like 75% of all the job they claim Americans won’t do are done by AMERICANS or legal aliens. Assuming that we filled the jobs that the illegals are doing with Americans or legal aliens we would have almost no unemployment.

So you’re happy with the job they did. I’m glad. I glad a felon, you, hired illegal’s aliens.

Also I hope none of the nice illegal’s you hired got enough information from your trash to steal your identity, like many, if not most of the illegal’s have done to other people. First I didn’t say white Americans; I said Americans and legal aliens. For the record I’m not white. What I was pointing out that there are many hard working people being affective by illegal aliens.

I’m sorry that you identity was stolen, it happens, it’s happen to me and I almost went to jail because of it. The point I was making was that most if not all illegals steal an identity to work in the US.

I can understand that you had some bad contractors in the past, it happens. But think about this, you hired felons, and if they rob, or beat you or etc. what hope do you have of ever finding out who they were and even if you had a good name what chance do you have to getting them back from wherever to face justice. But maybe justice isn’t important to you. At least when you hire a legitimate contractor you have some legal recourse.

Don’t forget if the nice illegals you hired tore up your yard, damage your property, who could you sue? It’s only one of the reasons legitimate contractors cost so much more. Also if one of the illegals got hurt YOU could be sued, and they would probably win. So much for that nice yard with the nice house you had to selling it to pay off the illegal who got hurt.

You had reason to believe the people you hired were illegal, therefore you committed a felony, and if you did it more then once you could be found guilty under RICO.

Because they are cheap, and the contractors can pocket the FICA, Fed. Withholdings, ETC. Also, they don’t pay for health care. Of course you do and pay more because the illegals still use the services we, you and me, provide with our tax dollars. I never said that the illegals did a bad job, some do very nice work. Just like some Americans I know. Just like there are illegals that do terrible work.

There are many people who work hard for a days pay, I sorry that you don’t know many, I do. The people I know pay their taxes, buy insurance for their car, for their families, pay their bills. While many illegals, never pay taxes, never pay for insurance for their car, or health. You of course pay for it in higher insurance rate, higher health care cost, higher taxes.

But you don’t care do you, you still have a nice yard.
