If it's the other way round (i.e. PS2 on PS3) then;

If the game DVD is made for the PS3 it doesnt work on the PS2. but if the game is made for the PS2 it does work on the PS3 (60Gb Version most likely).
But there are lots of games that have been made by two kinds: ps2 and ps3.
go to the official Playstation site www.playstation.com there they put all the games that are coming out.

Here is the list:

NONE

The PS3 games are Blueray discs, the PS2 simply doesn't have that reader, not to say the processor, video card, memory etc... to reproduce them.

i think you've got it backwards dude. or you're just really cheap and don't wanna get a PS3. As soon as i get the email, that Sony has made the PS2 forward compatible I'll let you know.

Ps3 games are made on blu-ray discs. not regular dvd discs....so it's not gonna work

Why would a Game for a system that hadn't been invented yet work on another system
