I would give him the maximum sentence allowed by law, followed by 2000 hours of community service. That service would entail cleaning up dog poop at the local pound!

I think he should be banned from Football, because it's making the NFL look really bad for even thinking about letting him play. People won't forget about this, and Professional sports are starting to change their image by trying to have the athletes actually be role models. What kind of role model would do something like this? And I'm sorry, but it really is not a race issue. If Brian Urlacher did the same thing, I would feel the same way. Just because they're famous doesn't mean they can get away with everything, which seems to be what they think now.

Lock him in a cage, and every so often, not on any schedule just at random times they should electrify the cage, just enough to cause serious pain. Get that for the span of about a dogs lifetime, and then I will think he got what he deserved. The punishment the law allows is too lenient IMHO.

Being from Va were he has gotten many small little slaps on the wrist for charges I feel that he should be cut and put in a pen with pittbulls and let them go for it. I am sick of him getting away with stupid things. Who can drown or hang not only one dog but several and go home and sleep?

I would make him read all the idiotic comments posted here about him by people who have nothing else to do. There must be at least 100 in the last few days. That is punishment enough for anyone to have to decipher through all that and read idiotic answers from people with 2 year old mentalities. What could be worst punishment then that?
Let's see if the thumbs down prove that mentality comment I made....

I would sentence him to the max. 5 or 6 years. This because he killed the dogs in a cruel inhumane manner. If you think back it was shown that Jeffery Dammer started the same way. The man is mentally sick and needs help.

Put him in the jail for few years is not going to change him, or
anyone still out there doing the same thing.
It is really difficult to decide. If it were me, I'll let him suffer thru all the kinds of treatment he used on the dogs.

I would have him donate the bulk of his money to pit bull rescues and to have funding locating and prosecuting dog fights.
Also I would have a rape stand put in his jail cell. I would have his sentence be at least 50 years for all the pain and suffering he put these dogs through.
I would not have him working at a shelter, I would not have him near any dogs at anytime.
Hey Geekman, your the one that gave everybody the thumbs down. I just gave you one for that ignorant answer of yours.

5 years
1000 hour community service through humane society/ASPCA
its not up to the judge to say whether he should play sports, but the NFL director needs to bar him too.
