I come from a large family and although we all love each other, we have not done the best job of keeping in close contact over the years - until recently. I usually hear from my brother at least once a year, but no one in our family has heard from him in the past 5 years. I am worried that something has happened. I know his social security number and last address, work and phone numbers but I have had no luck with this information. He was formerly in the Navy but retired about 6 years ago. I don't know what to do at this point. If he doesn't want to talk to the family I can live with that. I just need to know if he's even alive.

Peoplesearch may help.

I am sure you have tried all the contacts that you have. You can also try the Navy, if he is retired, he may get a pension check. They may not help you, but it is worth a try.

You could hire a private detective and go that route, or perhaps try going to his last address, if it is close enough for you to do that, have you tried people search? Try contacting social security and see if they have any information about him. Is his phone still connected? What did the last place of employment say? Does he still work there. Good Luck and I hope you find him.

A death records search can be done using his social security number.
