Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.
Religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.

God has NO desires. God has only the Will. The Will is that you come to know the Will. "This is God's Will and it cannot be prevented. Man,through wants and desires, clouds the view of the Will. Be Still and Know I Am God, eludes to the inner state of Peace. You are God's Will, you have only to "want" to know the Will.

people tend to anthropomorphize.
so they give god desires...just like the desires they feel.
