Well, a serial killer fled from England wearing one, so I guess you can do as you choose.

In a Muslim country you could get yourself killed. They would see it as a deliberate insult to their faith.

In Europe you'd be laughed at by most who saw you. The European Muslims would be offended but they wouldn't do anything except avoid you..

In America you'd make the 6 o'clock news so more people could see you and laugh. Then you'd get an invite to appear as a guest patient on Dr. Phil and he'd ream open your whole life and deepest darkest thoughts for the nation to see....and probably laugh at. Then you could sign a big bucks book and movie deal, get enough to retire on and go to a nice little island in the South Pacific, one without electricity, where there'd be no computer for you to get on and annoy intelligent human beings.

Who would know you were an atheist? I don't see how you could be arrested for wearing it unless you were doing something disrespectful that a muslim took offence to! Other wise you can wear what you like, it's a free country, well if your in UK.

It depends on the country... in the US, no... you'd just get strange looks and perhaps an offer or two.
