Or do you still hover?

Wow. The responses are the total opposite of what I expected. My mother taught me to ALWAYS, line the seat with some sort of paper, ALWAYS hover, and ALWAYS clean the seat (whether you spray the seat or not) after you are finished.

Use double or triple layers of t.p. on the seat and throw down a sheet on the water as "splash guard." I always put a layer or two of t.p. down the front of the bowl to protect against incidental contact with the porcelain..... hate when willy johnson hits public b-room porcelain.... ich.

No. I always check the seat before sitting. I'm over 60 and have never had a problem caused by sitting on the seat in public restroom.

Those who hover need to clean up after themselves. We have a serious problem here on campus. Many of the women hover and leave drops behind them on the seats. I can't help but wonder who cleans up after them at home??

If you sprinkle when you tinkle,
Be a sweetie and wipe the seatie.

I absolutely DO NOT hover. Ever wonder why the seats are so filthy? It's from women who hover over them and pee all over them. Can't count how many times I've used a public toilet and had to deal with a urine covered toilet seat. I always sit on the seats (usually after having to wipe up all the urine off them) and have lived to the ripe old age of 37 without ever catching a disease off of one. People are way too germophic.

You are less likely to get a disease from a toilet seat than other things we handle (like doorknobs) but the paper does make you feel better.

I sit everywhere I ever go...........if it's nasty or filthy, I dont use it. I have been using public toilets for many a year and never had a problem.
