A dealership in the area has a 2006 Mustang GT convertible that was never sold. It's yellow with black leather interior (inc. interior upgrade package) and is automatic. I was going to offer $24000-$25000, but $27000 is already significantly below the KBB value. I'm a little put off by the yellow since that seems like a girly color, but I was thinking of getting black Bullitts to make it more aggressive. Any thoughts?

I would make an offer. KBB is only a guide for car values, they do not buy or sell cars. If the dealer wants to make the car go away they will look at any offer.

I would add black over the top racing stripes or a nice black stripe down the side like the Boss Mustangs had back in the day. Yellow GT is not a girl color.

Is the car at Licardi Ford in Watchung NJ ? Is the M.S.R.P. $34205.00?

How many yellow one's do you see on the road? Not many.
Just remember if you do not love the car, you still have to make monthly payments and look at yellow every day you still have it. Try this approach:
If you cannot get them down on the price, don't buy it for that much money. Just keep going back to the salesman everyday and make him come off that price. If you do not really like the color, etc., or whatever else, you can use that as a negative. If this works, you will like the color afterwards and you will see the yellow in a different way. Besides, that car paint is sort of a competition yellow. It's not a girls yellow, the pastel yellow is the girl yellow. (I also agree with previous post about adding the black stripes). Good Luck! Go haggle price!

a new 07 mustang gt convertible is over $30,000 without extra things including so it would probably be 4000 cheaper than a new release and its pretty much the same

and that first guy, the gt is v8 and besides, ever since the 2005 came out, both engines have put out 40 more horsepower than the earlier 2000 models

id say its a good deal but if you dont want it in yellow then dont get it.
or you could always get a paint job, haha nobody thought of that

I bought my 2006 Mustang Gt with premium package for invoice from a dealer I use to be sales manager for. I paid $26,700. That was for a GT coupe five speed. I would say that the price you have on a new convertible if it is a GT, is a great price! I for one happen to love the yellow and orange mustangs, they have their own membership registry club at www.yellowmustangregistry.com

See what you can get an 07 GT for. I know that Ford is offering discounts on the remaining 07 models. In fact, it is 2007 dollars, and that comes with either/or 0% financing.

Go on the internet and do some price checking.

The best deal would be to find one used on one of the online sites like E-Bay motors. You could get a slightly used one for a lot less.

My boyfriend got his 07 off the lot for less than $21k... mind you its not the GT. But its not an 06 either, and its black!! I say do a lil more research... maybe cost-of-living is higher in your area.. i dunno.

But i dont see paying that much money for a car you dont even like the color on that is a year (soon to be two) out of date.

Sounds good to me. I like the yellow, personally. An automatic is what's girly.

that's a good price for a no miles 06-just be sure on the color before you buy!
and for the 1st poster, a GT is a V8!

Keep looking. What's the point of having the GT if its automatic?

well although the new mustangs do look reall nice and badass, they only have V6's in them, unlike the earlier mustangs with V8's. If its the looks and popularity your looking for, go ahead and buy it, but if its speed power and torque, buy like a 2001-04 (you'll also save a bundle of money so then you can give me some money...haha not really)
