If you feed her as much as the bags of dogfood call for, and she doesn't get a LOT of excercise, she will get fat. Obesity is caused from overeating, too little excercise...people and animals! Just because your dog has been spayed doesn't mean she WILL get fat....just don't compensate for her inability to have puppies by feeding her more! Don't forget, the dogfood manufacturers want to sell more dog food, so their "schedules" on their bags say to feed a "certain" amount for the size of the dog you have. MOST of the time, that's too much food! A thinner dog is a healthier dog.......just don't go overboard in that direction, either. Good luck........

If you feed her the right amount of food everyday...then she will probably not get fat! My vet told me that when looking down at the dogs back, the dog should have a hourglass figure. If it doesn't, then that means your dog it overweight!

Only if you allow her to spend her entire day watching Animal Planet... she needs an active lifestyle to stay trim on a high calorie food.

She might. If she is already pushing her upper weight limits, try a calorie reduction, and plenty of exercise.

If you control the amount you give her and keep her active, no. But you need to check her weight and regulate her diet accordingly.
