I have a litter of three kittens that have gotten scattered in my barn. The mother has located one of the kittens but neither I nor her have been able to locate the other two. It hasn't been more than an hour or so. She is staying close to the one kitten but calling out. Will she find the other kittens or will she be unable to find them without my help?

go away from her, wait about 3 hours, see ifshe found them, if not start looking. Shes upset and worried because they are scattered, and needs some time to look. Are they old enough to walk? If so, she will most likely find them soon, if not she may need some help.

the only element i could upload to what Megan had to assert is watch the kittens heavily once you examine up on the mother...in the event that they start up getting listless mom is probably not feeding them and that they are going to wish particular care quickly! So in the event that they don't seem to be solid and transferring nicely whilst touched come across a foster care guy or woman. in keeping with hazard analyze one in develop in case you're able to desire to call them at night. Little kits will bypass down very without delay.

Give her a few hours. If the kittens are strong enough to get that far away from her, they will cry when they're hungry if they can't find the way back and she'll find them.

You're real issue is if another animal got them and that's what I'd be checking for now.

Cats are not dumb, but they have no super powers either. She may find them if they are close by and come back or she may not find them. Kittens usually don't go away from mother at this age, she may have hidden them. I suggest you help her, start looking around and meow near bushes etc. to see if you'll get an answer.

She's probably waiting on you to leave then she will retrieve the other kittens.

Even if she is super tame it is very possible that she doesnt want you to know where her babies are.

Leave, go back in an hour or two - she knows exactly where they are.
