Basically, like the early Christians did, so they could cleanse their body completely. Besides, being baptized in stagnant water is like being baptized in a used and filthy bathtub, right? It just doesn't make sense.

The method by which one gets baptized is immaterial. The meaning behind it is what's important.

That's what got the jewish leaders in trouble in the Old Testament, was focusing on the rules and methods by which to carry out God's law, missing the point of the law in the first place.

I prefer full immersion, myself, but to each his/her own.

Tis better to ask what the Bible teaches instead of what one believes. You may get 10,000 different answers on what people believe. The Bible teaches that people were baptized and makes no mention of flowing water being necessary--only wet water. No mention of clothing is made either. Obedience to what the Bible says is all that matters. Stagnant water or dirty water is not the point. Water is what believers are to be baptized in for the remission of their sins. Making sense of something is not necessary. God did not command everyone to be baptized in a certain place at a certain time. He has made it as easy as possible, since wherever people live, there is water. A used and filthy bathtub is sufficient.

The deal with flowing water is not really an issue. The main thing is that a person getting baptized must be emerged fully. That is the only true Biblical way of baptism.

I was baptized in a swimming-pool. Baptizing is not cleaning of flesh. It does not matter stagnant or flowing water, but beware of baptism without clothes, or if you do so another sex must not be present. Baptism symbolize our burial, that we die and are born again. Baptism is our covenant with our Lord Jesus Christ.

no, and maybe some early Christians believed that way, but most didn't. If you read the Bible you will not see this idea specified anywhere where it talks about baptism. Baptism has nothing to do with "cleansing the body or soul". Baptism is simply a gesture that makes your belief known publicly.

So what does the Bible say about it Might look there.

So where does it say that the early Christians stripped and were baptized in flowing water...Where does it say anything about immersion.....Ya know, God gets credit for so many things he did not say, advocate or do.

The purification baths at the Temple in Jerusalem where people baptized them selves where not running water.

You need to have some type of clothing on while being baptized or you are sinning.

It doesn't matter where you get baptized because it is an outward expression of what has happened to on the inside. It is a symbol or a picture if you will identifying you with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I do not know of any modern Christians who Baptize without clothes today. I am aware that the first century Christians did, but am not sure as why.

I doubt any modern Christians do this because of the lust factor associated with nudity.
