First of all, stop drinking the beer. Then start exercising. Walking is not only a great way to tone legs and butt, it also helps to flatten your stomach. You have to walk briskly for about an hour a day and you will start to notice results very soon.
To firm up faster, it can't be just any old walk. You need to walk and tone at the same time, and because of this technique, you won't be required to do sit ups. Simple arm exercises while you walk will firm your belly, because moving your upper and lower body at the same time makes your torso muscles work harder to provide stabilization and balance.
As you walk put your arms out to sides at shoulder level, bend elbows, pulling hands towards the shoulders like you're doing bicep curls.
Then raise arms out in front of you at shoulder level like you're punching. Alternate arms in opposition to legs.
Lastly alternate reaching arms overhead.
(all this is being done while you are walking.)
Also, walking on uneven terrain, such as hiking trails, will force you to flex muscles you don't normally use, and improves your balance.
Your walk should be brisk enough that you can talk while walking but you'd rather not. When you are doing the tone moves with your arms, your walk can be more moderate...enough that you can talk freely.
Good luck!

Stop or cut way down on beer, junk food (Mc D's, ice cream, cookies etc.) Begin eating healthy foods, (chicken, fish, rice, green veggies both fresh and cooked , fruits. Anything that grows from the earth.)
Walk or run 20 to 30 minutes a day. Most people thing if they do lots of sit ups this will shrink their stomach. Wrong! It will strengthen your stomach yes but it will not shrink it. You have to lose the fat first and the only way to do that is through diet and exercise. Any exercise that gets your heart rate up for at least 20 to 30 minutes a day. Be it aerobics, calisthenics, walking, running ,Ti-Bo, martial arts, whatever. Just get active and start eating right. Good Luck

To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.
As far as a "healthy weight", that's what most of the other posts are about (calculating your BMI, diet plans, etc).... but most people will say what the "average" is according to different opinions.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that
That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more

the "easiest" way would be to quit drinking, but what's the fun in that? The first thing you should do if you don't already is to drink LIGHT beer (my favorite are Amstel Light & Miller Lite) and if you drink liquour, mix it with Diet mixers only (NO JUICE-- juice may have vitamins, but it has sooooo much sugar). Also, the only way to lose a "beer belly" which is really just accumulated fat, is through cardio exercise-- sit ups and crunches will strengthen the muscle UNDERNEATH the fat, but you wont even be able to notice it until the fat covering it is lost.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Lay on your back and put your hands underneath you, then put your legs together and raise them, then back down (not quickly, but at a moderate pace)... repeat... you can do about 3 sets of 10 to start off with and raise the amount as you feel comfortable. Sit-ups and crunches work good too. Good luck! :)
