Recenlty I have been feeling a minor pain in my chest, right about were the heart is. It is just usually a minor pain but it is concerning me. It usually happens when I move in a certain way, bend, stretch or a fast sudden move. The pain can come and go randomley. I also have high blood pressure. I will probably see a doctor but I just wanted to get some opinions on what others might think.

Generally chest pain when you bend or stretch is more muscular, however since you have Hypertension and it is related to fast movement too it could be angina pectoris which is an indicator of a heart problem. I would go see the doctor ASAP or sooner!

It is better to err on the side of caution than have a heart attack.

Please go as soon as you can and if the pain becomes more severe or feels like pressure at all, take an aspirin and have someone get you to the ER right away.

You can start at your regular Doctor and he/she can refer you.

Wish you the best

Wow. It seems like your describing something similar to what I experienced as a kid and occasionally as an adult. I get those achy, sharp pain in my chest / rib area. Often the pain is mild but sometimes it's so bad I can barley take a breath. It also feels like it starts at the bottom of my rib cage and then travels up my side as it slowly goes away. I was told by my doctor it was "growing" pains. Then when I was older, I brought it up again and he said it could be a muscle spam. It's been months since I've had one. With me, the pain only last a few seconds and at the most a minute or two. They also only seem to happen once or twice in a day when i do have them. I would suggest that if they occur more frequently, multiple times in a day I'd see someone about it. It could be nothing or it could be something (kind of obvious answer).

If you have high blood pressure and a pain in the chest, it is very important to determine whether the pain is cardiac related. It is probably in your favor that the pain is random, but that is not enough to take chances. You should at least get an Electrocardiogram.

Dont take a stress test on the tread mill at the cardiologist office. I did, it made my heart worse and now they wont help me. I'm going to see a lawyer today to sue them. It enlarged my heart. Other cardiologists are treating me like the plague because they dont want to get involved in a liability issue.

I try not to eat any added salt and eat lots of protien. Protien powder from GNC I buy all different kinds, its helping with my severe chest pain.

Many times this can be a pulled muscle Or sore muscle. I'm glad you're going to see your medical doctor so you can make sure it's nothing serious and if it isn't - learn how to treat the pulled muscle.
