I come to Yahoo Answers to LEARN, and I'm tired of this WAR between religions. If we can't get along, then why can't we just separate?!?!
Here are the major battles:
Christianity v. Atheism
Christianity v. Agnosticism
Christianity v. Everything else that's not Christianity
Atheism v. Agnosticism
Atheism v. Religion in general (although some definitions of 'religion' would include Atheism!)
Therefore.... we need these catagories:
Christianity
Atheism
Agnosticism (because we don't belong ANYWHERE)
All other religions (not saying that all other religions should be grouped together, because they are very different. However, I don't think there would be enough questions asked on other individual religions).
SO... WHO HATES MY IDEA?

OH...
Another catagory should be 'spirituality'. Although, like 'Atheism', some definitions of 'Religion' would include spirituality as well.

Crockoduck: I'm Agnostic (but seriously leaning toward Atheism). In any question that I've ever posted, it seems that I just don't belong. It seems like Christians think it would be easy to convert me since I'm on the fence. Yet, it seems Atheists hate me because I won't pick a side.
I can't get a non-biased answer anywhere!

I think it's funny that when I point out that no one gets along, everyone starts indirectly getting along.
Why would I be intolerant? Didn't I say that I was Agnostic? I tolerate everyone's ideas and beliefs one here (unless you're just being stupid) because I believe that all religions and beliefs have something to give to society.
People are rude to each other on here because of differences. Yes, separation is not going to solve our differences. However, when I ask a question, I would like to question answered. I come here to LEARN, not for a social get together (I guess that's what it is).
So, since most of you said that you all just need to work together and blablabla, then DO IT. But we all know that it will never happen : )
I'm going to go read my 'Religion in the U.S.' college textbook because it's much more helpful than ALL OF YOU PUT TOGETHER on here.

why should anyone one hate ideas...................!!!
the choices are - agree / disagree / or neither
BTW - you can not / divide them in-to- two
*************************************************
It is like a SHEET OF PAPER with 2 sides
One side is - totally -white- pure - Blank ( as created )
you can call this SPIRITUALITY
Other side paper is all written up and rewritten
in different languages - religion - beliefs - process - rituals- thoughts- ideas that keep changing from Place to place/ time to time and a combination of everything
It gets re- written - written again - remember your class -
Like a school chalk board ( this case consider no one ever used an eraser - the whole time ... eternity )
and still writing................
____________________________________
now Back to the SHEET OF PAPER
____________________________________
if you tear up the paper it is one thing...
but a better thing is to be able to read/ write and understand the other written things that - most people do not want to read............Because it is easier NOT to TRY.
If every one reads them - they all say the same thing
( ******* take out all the Mis-interpretations ****** )
and you will find it is all White and Pure
IT is the Same spirituality all over - same on both sides
JUST need to open eyes and the heart and realize ...
isnt it really ............ all the same
same 2 hands, two feet, 2 eyes, same Smile etc etc
Everyone is just the same - only perceived as someone else
someone different - someone ?? else !!!!!
how & why is up to each person / entity

Why bother? An Atheist isn't concerned with either spirituality or religion. Those concepts fall inside the realm of organized religions. Atheism is the term used by Christians to describe non-believers. If you look at the word Atheism it actually means anti theism. Theisms are belief systems that have no pragmatic meaning.

I am an older woman ,who has seen a lot of life and studied a lot of different religions .I have come to the frame of mind that religion is a choice of believing .Sense we all have the right to our individual idea of "who God is " and " Spirituality's is that wee small voice that lives in every soul . Our spirit is our inner self that has always been .

I personally like it the way it is. You're suggesting doing in here exactly what people have already done all over the world--divided and separated themselves from each other based on religion. The whole point for most of us is to get to where we can peacefully agree to disagree.

As an Agnostic, I've had no problems with the Atheists here.
Some Christians... yes.
But one, general Q&A forum is enough. Despite all the petty arguments here, it's kinda like a big family. A dysfunctional family at best, but still a family.

No, I like the idea that we can interact. I just think we should learn good manners. It is valuable to learn about one another's beliefs, including those who believe that all religion is false or unnecessary or whatever. The challenge is to do it politely, within the Community Guidelines.

No way. Respect is a two way street, and it can work if you actually make an effort. I've had some great answers since I've been here. I don't want a category for just fellow Christians. Where's the diversity of thought and ideas in that?

Sorry you are upset. You aren't very tolerant are you?
I don't hate your idea, I just can't tolerate it.
If I become a little more tolerant, I'll let you know, but for now, no way.
As a Christian I am proud of my record as to tolerating things, but some things can just not be tolerated.
Btw, I am also a dumb Christian and have just now learnt how to spell R&S, and now you expect me learn to spell those other sections too? No way.

I don't hate your idea, but I think it's dead wrong....
The "cars" board is not for cars, it's for people posting about cars. You needn't be a car to post...
There are no boards like that here.
If you want that, go to beliefnet.
If you find yourself bullied because you aren't the right kind of your religion, then you'll come back here with a clue.

No, part of the learning process is the free exchange of ideas, and examining concepts and theories that are not in your particular belief system.
Just reinforcing the ideas that you have already accepted is similar to intellectual incest.
