it depends on your local licensing authority. In Coventry its a 6 year wait before they'll even consider an application

NO you cannot the information will come up when you apply for the licence and normally you have to be five years clear

but some local licensing offices may not apply this particular rule very well, apart from anything else it would be very difficult to obtain insurance to drive a private hire.

so if you have asked this question because you know someone who is driving a private hire the chances are they are not completely legal

I think yes. I no of a couple of people who are driving for private hire firms who were definitely banned. but just check with the police should be easy enough to find out for def.

A drink driving offence stays on your licence for ten years so no you can't do that you have only spent two yrs 8yrs to go unless you re-offend. my next door neighbour just got banned for 7yrs 2nd time caught £800 fine.

It will depend on the company for which you wish to work.
In all honesty I'd say that your ban was too recent, and I wouldn't be willing to take the risk on you yet.

You would have to ask your future employer. Ask DMV they have your record-- ask them. If you can get a licenses to taxi people.
