Over the last few days, the little boy I nanny for (15 months) has been running a low-grade fever, has been having diarrhea, and refuses to eat anything. These symptoms could go hand in hand with the fact that he is teething and cutting a molar, but what do I do if he will not eat? He seriously is not even interested in food and I as well as his parents are very concerned. Any ideas? Thanks!

attempt any of those for various days to determine in the event that they artwork a million. Slowly and casually stroll away. stay away till there is not extra screaming. If choose be, bypass to the bathing room and close the door. little ones that age get scared in case you go away, so this could artwork. 2. do no longer in any way react. stay the place you have been, turn to a lifeless puppet. stay yet do no longer exchange your face, eyes, posture, or something. Wait it out. Do a stare-activity. some little ones then supply up. 3. Stun her... using some pots and pans and wood spoons.... override her screams with a number of your own hideous noises!!! pretend you're the two making some heavy steel track and enjoy IT! They drop the screams in the event that they see you truthfully like it or are sillier than them! 4. Hug her tightly. In a fashion the place she will't beat you if she is bodily hyper while she screams. in basic terms hug her till she wears down. you are able to ought to purchase some earplugs. this could tutor your administration of her even on a similar time as screaming and supply her some boundary. Write down each and every thing you do and what she does, while she eats, sleeps, performs, screams, etc.... there may be a relation someplace. To have extra advantageous administration, initiate being a meticulous planner. Regiment the day. The extra controlled the day runs, the extra advantageous it is for little ones that age. Wake her up at 7. Breakfast at 7:30. outdoor play 9-10. examining thoughts at 10:15. etc...If her day will become commonplace like clock artwork, she would be in a position to experience extra shield. you are able to then additionally see if there's a screaming development. (an hour after dairy ingredients? or after mom leaves? or once you're making a telephone call? in basic terms once you look in her eyes?) Someties little ones have painful hypersensitive reactions or are borderline autistic and tutor this screaming behaviors, -> shop a diary reliable luck and carry in.

if the parent can afford a nanny then I am sure they can afford a call to the doctor. However low grade fevers and a reduced appetite are not uncommon when a child is cutting a new tooth. Try feeding him things such as frozen fruit pops to help make the gums feel better and help with the fever too.

Get the child to the Dr. NOW!!

The baby is dehydrating from the diarrhea. Put some numbsit on the gum for the teething it numbs the gum helping to let the child sleep and eat.

Call the doctor for an opinion...most likely it's the teething. If he is drinking enough (and push the liquides - pedialite if he'll take it is good because it has a lot of nutrients...my guys don't like it!). Keep offerring him food. When my sons are sick they don't want to eat either. Basically I let them have almost anything they want during that time just to make it easier and get food in their bellies.

i would call his dr and have him seem. It could be him teething or something else. Some children will get an ear infection when teething. If he wont eat try giving him a popicale or somthing else that is cold.

I wish you luck

Would honestly put it down to teething. Please remember, a child will NOT starve itself. We tend to panic - I know I did with my first. When hungry, baby will eat - I promise. Keep him drinking fluids and all will be well :-)
