You can't just arbitrarily make the decision to move as if your husband doesn't exist. If he doesn't want to move then that's it, you need to stay where you are. It used to be that women had respect and actually "obeyed" their husbands, but today you all treat men as if they are just a knick-knack to be dusted off and moved around at your whim. Geez.

Why would California be a better state to be in than where you are at now?
Do you really just want to leave your husband and are you using this as an excuse to get away from him?

How would it be better for your family for them to be separated? If your family wants to move it has to be a family decision. One that you need your DH's input on, too. Both of you need to talk to each other and figure out what's right for BOTH of you and your kids if you want the relationship to work out.
