Normally, yes. You're an adult at 18. I know of one prison I saw on TV, I can't remember where it was, where they do keep younger prisoners together, but that is the exception. And that was because most of them were convicted at like 16 for an adult offense, so even though they are over 18 now they 'd been in the system for a while.

Under the law, you are considered an adult, and yes you will be put with older inmates. I personally think it's wrong, but prisons are so over crowed that they don't have room for those still in their upper teens.

Most likely.

I would suggest that they pick the biggest, scariest looking mofo in the place - walk up to him, and punch him in the throat as hard as possible.

They will probably end up getting beaten to a pulp - but noone else will mess with them after that.

i think of that is humorous that he's so stupid! he's frightened of being in detention center so now he will merely be in detention center longer. lol .. i could want to work out him get the finished 11 years. with a bit of luck he would be taught his lesson and settle for the outcomes.

They can. There is no law against it. It may all depend on the population management policies of the correctional institution.

Absolutely yes but it does depend upon the correctional institution.
