1 John 3:6-10
6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Do you believe you can live a sin free life here on earth?

1 John 3:2&3
2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Do you have this hope? Do you purify yourself?

I believe it is possible. Only if we follow the spirit whole heartedly.
Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:34
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Luke 9:23
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Romans 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
If we are led by the spirit we are the sons of God. It is only when we turn away and take our eyes off of Jesus do we stumble. Remember St. Peter when he walked on the water, he only fell when he took his eyes off of Jesus.
The cares of this life seperates us from God. The pleasures and activitys get our attention on other things. Things that come against us also often pull us away from God. If anyone would continually seek him they would live sin free because you CAN NOT SIN IN JESUS.
We sin when we are drawn away by our own lusts.
James 1:14
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Galatians 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh
Romans 13:14
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Galatians 5:17
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Galatians 5:24
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
James 1:15
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
1 Peter 2:11
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
We can live sin free. This is not saying we have never sinned. Jesus said go and sin no more. Those who follow the spirit never sin. Only when we turn away for what ever reason.
When the scripture says "all have sinned" this is speaking of past tense and not the present or future. We HAVE SINNED we do not have to sin anymore. If we truly follow Jesus.
1 John 2:1
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
This is not a permit to sin. It is the way of purifying ourselves through Jesus Christ.

The scripture quoted is obvious -- this is what Christians must do after their baptism and dedication to God.
The subject is a bit more complicated than just not sinning. Not sinning is not possible for imperfect mankind.
^^^^^^^^^^^
(Heb 12:4) (1 John 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (DRC))
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
What is referred to by your scripture is willful sin or the practice of sin, this leads to damnation and that is what is the difference between being a child of God and of the Devil. (,
Heb 10:26, 26For if we sin wilfully after having the knowledge of the truth, there is now left no sacrifice for sins)
Once this is understood, all Christians can lead a 'sinless' life in the sense that follows the understanding the scriptures gave above. Thus adultery, fornication, homosexuality, greed, etc leads to damnation.
But as said, some may have a slip by committing a serious sin once that God may forgive but will punish nonetheless (Heb 12:5-7) -- however, if it is willful or a practice of sin, that person is now damned forever.

JesusMan, John already answered your question. When we turn in repentance to God and die to ourselves, when we take up the cross to follow Jesus, we turn away from sin.
Sin is a path of misery. It is like a fresh, inviting chunk of cheese sitting on the trigger of a mousetrap. We think sin will make us happy, but there are always consequences that injure us and draw us further from God.
Unfortunately, we live in a world darkened by sin and full of temptation. John did too, and he says in I John I: "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives."
Again, John has the answer: We honestly confess our sins to God and ask for his help in overcoming temptations and breaking old habits of sin.

Not I. I am a sinner and that's a fact. Just because God took the desire for sin out of me doesn't make me perfect.
When I confess my sins and asked for His continued forgiveness and love and He takes the sin away then I have His righteousness on me.
Soon enough I'm back in trouble.

"He that committeth sin is of the devil" can be understood as he that practiceth or love sin is of the devil. A born again Christian is born of God but still retains his sinful nature. No Christian has ever went without sinning and any Christian that tells you they don't sin is a "liar and the truth is not in him."(1st John) If you are born again you do not love your sin anymore and do not want to practice sinning anymore.

No one can live a sin free life. As the new testament says" all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god" or some thing like that.

Nope, I'm a Christian and cannot live a sin-free life. However, since I believe in Jesus, that He died for my sins, was raised on the 3rd day, and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father, I don't have to worry.
My name is written in the Lambs Book of Life. When I stand before the Father, He will see my name in the book and see me as sinless. Simply because of my relationship with Jesus.
Do you know where you will spend eternity?
Read Romans.
In Christ,

The flesh(the outward man)cannot live free from sin, the spirit(the inner man), the new creature in Christ Jesus can and does. It's Christ IN you the hope of glory. That's why all humans must be 'born again'. There is physical DNA and spiritual DNA. To the caterpillar it's the end, to the butterfly it's the beginning.
God loves us and there's not a darn thing we can do about.
