Is there anything you feel you can do to stop your self-fulfilling 'apocalypse' from affecting the rest of us? Can you get along at all?

Christians and Muslims seem to be the main combatants, but of course you both damn and demonize anyone who doesn't share either of your faiths, this makes you even more dangerous.

Can you do better? Pledge or not?.

The feeling I'm getting from Christians and Muslims (surprise surprise) is that there is nothing they will do about their 'holy war' against themselves and the rest of us.

S S says:

There are only two gods to believe in: self or God

That is a God-centric and absolutist view. If you are a Christian, a patriarchal view too.

What 'self-fulfilling Apocalypse'? There is only one being that can bring about the Apocalypse and when that happens all people on this planet will instantly know it.

The only "pledge" I will ever give is: to continue building my relationship with G-d (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), upholding the Word of G-d (the Bible), sharing this truth with others, and continue "loving my neighbor as I do myself."

Apocalypse in Greek means disclosure. It is a term applied to the disclosure of something to certain, privileged persons that is hidden from the masses. So with the true meaning of the word can you allow yourself the reading of unfolding truths by John the Revelator? There are reasons why there are so many combatants in the world. The unfolding of these truths is found on an amazing website: http://666america.com

We can do better. We can change the world by living the royal law: "Do unto others as you would want done unto you."

True religon is the absence of religon. The earth is spiritual 'bootcamp' where young souls come to learn and grow. Organized religon has some benefits, but it is also an entrapment as the soul tends to put 'concrete' church and it's leaders in Gods place. And there is no shortage of churches and 'religous leaders' waiting in the wings to exploit this misconception to further their own wealth and power.

This cycle is as old as sin itself. Jesus said 'the law was made for man, not man for the law'. Only when enough souls break free of pseudo-religon, can they see God. When this happens, wars will end.

When a soul starts asking questions such as the one you posed, it often means they have advance far enough to reject false religon, but are not to the point where they are ready to seek TRUE religon.

Forget about what the world thinks, you can't change them. Open your heart to the new knowledge that is yours for the taking.

Others damn all others (including anyone of faith) who disagree with them.

I resolve to live peacefully. I will not be in the Middle East, when nations converge on Israel.

Most other peoples live peacefully also. It's when people stop respecting human life that they unilaterally attack civilians.

You will see the battle will include supposedly (generally) faithless peoples, like Europe and Russia.

G.K. Chesterton, the great writer, was right when he said people who believe in nothing will tend to believe anything.

if two strong voices meet
they have more chances to result in conflict
religion do have some help to make peace
but the dangerous doesnt come from religion itself
it's really sad to answer the questions like that which explanation with more clearness may lead to more chaos
better believe in Seth than doubting everything which arose instability and anxiety

Well, apparently "God" gave us the gift of Free-Will but yet Religions shame those that use that gift. When people start to realize that it shouldn't matter what others believe in, it's what they believe in...it will never change. People need to accept that their "God" gave others the ability to chose for themselves and it is not for them to decide whether that person is right or wrong.

I cannot speak for other Christians nor Muslims, only myself.
The Apocalypse will happen regardless, mankind has brought it upon their own selves, no particular religion or person can be blamed, it was prophesied and will happen because of sin and evilness.

People damn and demonized their own selves.
I am not dangerous but my God is.
I make no pledges to any man, only to my God.

I think you are both missing the point. Whether WE like it or not - It is PROPHECY. GOD has declared that it is going to happen. He sees the future and can see that WE are not going to be able to solve the world's problems. In fact, it seems that the whole Middle East thing is destined to "Blow up out of all proportions..............(e.g. Armageddon etc).......which will lead to what is referred to as the "End of the world". Of course, it will be the end of the world as we know it and the rest is told depending on your FAITH.
However, there WILL be an end and a JUDGEMENT.
Don't "blame me" for saying these things - but rather, look them up for yourselves and make sure you are on the "right bus".
I follow the CHRISTIAN FAITH so I believe that Jesus Christ will return and take Christians away in what is referred to as the "RAPTURE", and that after a period (1,000 years) there will be a JUDGEMENT time for all of us.
"HEAVY STUFF" ....I know, but it's best to read up on it and be sure we know what we are doing.

We are not alone. There is a God...ONE God. We, do not control what happens in our life, much less what happens to humanity. There is a time when humanity will end, and by the signs that Prophet Muhammad gave us we are close to that time. Humanity started by The Will of The God, humanity will end by the Will of The God. Your faith, or lack of faith, is your business. But it seems like your perception of reality is affecting your attitudes and perceptions about others. There is ONE God, and He has control over everything and everyone. He is, indeed, actively governing All of creation.
